How can I connect PS3 to ACER X110P Projector

does the projector have an HDMI port?
i would buy the cable that is HDMI from the PS3 (unless it has HDMI already)
HDMI converter (HDMI to DVI or VGA) typically don't work well because you are changing the signal from digital to analog through a cable. you want to use a cable that is the same on both ends.

PC Projector first and Computer next. Usually if the projector powered on after computer you need to use Function keys on laptop normally Function and F4 buttons when pressed simultaneously the computer screen projected through projector. Function keys are identified by green lettering on them.
If you power on projector first and then the computer while they are connected through cable this problem may not arise. Try this and and also Function and F4. This usually fixes the problem. Let us know if you still have problem! good luck!

Try holding down the Function key (Fn), then pressing F5. Wait a few seconds. On most laptop, each press of the F5 key will toggle between laptop display only, projector only and Dual (same image on both - my favorite).

You'll probably see a little Monitor-shaped icon on the F5 key. It's possible it's another function key - on Dells it's usually F8.

Unable to transmit image to projector

Usually you can use a VGA connection cable to connect your computer with a projector. They also have inputs for s-video and RGB but these are much rarer on computers. Once you have connected the projector press the key on your keyboard that looks like a square with two lines on either side (mine is FN+F4) This will shuffle through different setups (mirrored to screen, extended to screen and back to normal) if this doesn't work try plugging in the vga cable and restarting the computer with the projector on.

I have the same model of Acer and it worked in all of my classroom LCD with powerpoint lectures and with a SONY TV at home. Try right-clicking your screen to view the NVIDIA control panel. Configure "dual" multiple display (costumize to "dual" configuration or "forced-detect."
