What you see there is an error code. You might be able to look it up in your owner's manual, but if not, start by checking your ink cartridges, to be sure they are properly inserted, then make sure there is paper in the paper feed. Other issues to check are paper jams and stuff stuck inside the printer (like toys, pencils, etc...)

Without turning off the product, disconnect the USB cable from the rear of the product.

Remove the ink cartridges. Wait until a message to insert the cartridges displays. If you do not see a message within a few minutes, Disconnect the power cord from the back of the product.

Wait 60 seconds

    1. Reconnect the power cord. If the product does not automatically turn on, press the Power button (3bb271911c01&javax.portlet.tpst=ba847bafb2a2d782fcbb0710b053ce01_ws_BI&javax.portlet.prp_ba847bafb2a2d782fcbb0710b053ce01=wsrp-navigationalState%3DdocId%253Demr_na-c00551397-8%257CdocLocale%253D%257CcalledBy%253D&javax.portlet.rst_ba847bafb2a2d782fcbb0710b053ce01=wsrp-url%3Dhttp%253A%252F%252F16.197.209.193%253A50002%252Fsp4tssearch%252FimageServlet%253FDOCID%253Demr_na-c00551397-8%252Fc01602202.gif%26wsrp-navigationalState%3DdocId%253Demr_na-c00551397-8%257CdocLocale%253D%257CcalledBy%253D%26wsrp-requiresRewrite%3Dfalse&javax.portlet.begCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken&javax.portlet.endCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken"> ).

    2. Reinsert the cartridges, and then close any open doors on the product.

    3. If you receive a prompt to print a calibration page, do so.

    4. If you disconnected the USB cable, reconnect it to the rear of the product.

    5. Try printing again.

If none of this helps, you might want to visit the printer's manufacturer's home page and look for a link for troubleshooting or technical service and support. I always try to resolve the issues myself, first. Good luck.

SOURCE: red light flashing, And little cartridge symbol on printer screen,

Check the ink levels, and that there is not a paper jam.
if nothing of those two, try uninstalling and re-installing printer drivers. sometimes you can unplug the printer for 20-30 minutes. which may enable it to reset to it,s default settings. if this does,nt help. refer to the user manual.
good luck Mike @ Compurepair.

SOURCE: HP Premium C309 All-in-One Printer error message "C2FE0065"

I had a similar error (not the same! C2FE0100), and cleared it up with the following procedure:
1) While the HP logo was displayed on the screen, I unplugged the printer. 2) Plug the printer back in. 3) Immediately open the printer so you can see the ink cartridges. 4) Press the power button at least once. If yours is like mine, you see the error just by plugging in the printer, but it takes a minute or so. Pressing the power button for me just caused it to restart the boot sequence where I could get the error again. 5) Wait a couple of minutes. You should see the ink cartridge carrier move back and forth several times, and the screen will display a message telling you the ink access door is open (or similar). 6) I let it move the ink cartridges around for several minutes, but this probably isn't necessary. 7) Close the printer back up. 8) About a minute after closing the printer, it told me that I shouldn't turn it off by unplugging it, and that I should use the power button. 9) I pressed the power button once, and it shutdown. 10) I pressed the power button once, and this time it turned on without any error messages.
I was able to print a photo via bluetooth from my phone, and a short document from my computer, so it seems to be working OK.
