How long to cook a 19 pound turkey

Cooking times will differ depending on whether your bird was purchased fresh or frozen. Plan on 20 minutes per pound in a 350 degree F oven for a defrosted turkey and 10 to 15 minutes per pound for fresh. 4. A turkey will cook more evenly if it is not densely stuffed.

I use a 5 gallon pail and fill it with water with a hose running warm water into it for 3 hours. Let it overflow so put it in a bathtub or shower. I put it in my shop shower where i wash paint trays where i replaced the shower-head with a piece of garden hose.

How long can aturkey be keot frozen before cooking

Hi rollande laframboise

I have kept turkeys frozen for 4 years, and cooked them and they were as good as fresh turkey,as long as the turkey is properly vacuumed packed 3 to 4 yrs is not an unreasonable time to keep the turkey...if not properly vacuum packed, cook within 3 months or it may get "freezer burned"...dried out and tastes "funny" (not good).

I am getting liquid driping inside refrigerator compartment recently cleand entire unit

the defrost drain is probably plugged or frozen shut. turn off refrig and let sit open for a day and it should thaw the drain. otherwise remove the evaporator panel and manually defrost the drain. I use hot water and a turkey baster.

Ice is accumulating on the floor of the freezer. I have to remove it every few days. Is there a problem?

yes you have a frozen drain or defrost system issue depending on where your evaporator coils are located. If its a side-by-side then its probably a frozen drain. You can remove the back panel and use a turkey baster and hot water to clear the drain line. If its just like a frost build up then sounds like you have a defrost system issue.
Hope this helps _MJ_
