KENWOOD KR-V8030 SPECS

I have had this exact Receiver and this is taken right from the specs. in the manual, "120 watts per channel RMS" at 8 ohms - this is in Stereo mode (2 speakers) only". When surround sound is used, "75 watts RMS for Front and Center speakers and 15 watts RMS for rear (surround) speakers. From experience, the Stereo only mode is definitely stronger/louder than when switching to Surround. Most newer receivers are the same wattage regardless of mode.

I want to hook my bose 901 VI along with EQ to my Luxman R117 Receiver and also run other speakers from the same receiver. Is this possible?

If you are using the Bose Equalizer to optimize the sound of the 901s by going through either a tape loop or a pre-out/main-in loop, then the only way to do this without also equalizing the sound sent to the second set of speakers is to manufacture a "zone-2" output from the Luxman.
You'd probably need to split the send from the Luxman's pre-out before the EQ and send it to a second power amplifier for the second pair of speakers (if you want the Luxman's volume knob to control both speaker sets) or from a tape level output (if you wanted independent volume controls for the two speaker sets.
The whole EQ thing made 901s difficult to use on vintage equipment with only one "zone" audio outputs. Unless you want to use the Bose EQ on the second set, too, you can't do it satisfactorily without adding another stereo amplifier. But, go ahead and try it, you might find that you actually like the odd EQ that the 901s EQ gives to the second pair!
If it were my decision, I probably would not do it without a second amp, but it's all about what you like, my opinions really don't matter in your house, do they?
Have fun

Will a Luxman R-117 receiver run my Bose 901's through the required equalizer?

Yes, connect the Active EQ into one of the abundant tape loops and set the receiver to monitor that one constantly. Or place it between the Pre Out and Main In's. What you don't want to do is have the Active EQ in front of any actual tape decks attached to the Luxman as it would affect their audio. Yeah, pre/main is the best place.

Luxman R-115 NEED REMOTE CODES FOR COMCAST ON DEMAND REMOTE

Try a Harmony by logitech. They will control every feature of every piece of product that you have. Prices start around 50 on ebay. The software for programming is excellent and very user friendly. Their tech support speaks to you in understandable language if you have a problem. I've probably programmed a thousand or so to date and they are very reliable. The only issue I have with them is Don't Drop Them on a hard surface, the LCD's are pretty fragile. If you have young kids, keep them away from it!. With a little tweaking in the program, you can have a very reliable and effective remote for very little $. If you get one and have any questions on programming, post a comment and I'm positive I can help. Hope this helps
