Question about Belkin Basic Wireless Router
Got hacked on my password and cant log in
If someone has "hacked" your password, they would have changed it so you cannot access the device. The only recourse you have is to do a hard reset on the device to reset the username and password to the factory defaults. Routers have, usually in the back, an opening that you can insert a paper clip or toothpick and reset the device. You usually have to hold it in, with power applied, from 10-30 seconds, depending on the manufacturer. Unfortunately, this will reset ALL the settings of the router, requiring a complete setup process after the hard reset. This is probably a good idea, especially since the "hacker" probably changed some settings to his/her advantage, otherwise there would have been no need for the hack in the first place. After resetting, choose a longer and much harder to guess username/password. Best options include a mix of numbers/letters/symbols, both upper and lower case.
