Question about Kodak Esp 5210 All-in-one Inkjet Printer

1 Answer

I can obtain the emailaddress for my printer ok. But after i have switched off my computer it seems to lose sight of the fact that I have enabled my ESP 5210 and when I switch on again the next time, I have to re-enable the printer and am given a different email address! Is it possible to get the printer enablement and email address remembered between switch off and switch on, please.

Sign in to printer manufacturer's website go to manual and install the drivers! Should help solve the problem. If not look for the toll free # to call.

The Problem is with your Router, Check to see if its made by Qwest/Actiontek. If so the firmware is not up to date. I'm having the same issues. They are working on a fix, but nothing is yet available so we're stuck!

Hi There,

1. Uninstall the printer from the Control Panel/ Programs
2. Go to the site below. ( I chose XP as your Operating System. If you are using another system, choose it using the down arrow in the box where it says XP to the right of your printers #)

try these steps:

Setting SNMP on the Device SNMP helps monitor the state of the machine and collects information on it. The following items can be set:
<Community Name>: Sets the SNMP community name. You can specify up to two community names. <Writable SNMP>: Enables the computers on the network to access the machine and modify its settings if this item is activated. You can specify this setting for each community separately. <Get Printer Management Information from Host>: Enables automatically the SNMP port monitoring function to obtain printer management information such as information on print applications and printer ports, if you are using Windows Vista and set [Standard TCP/IP port] for the printer driver port. 1. 2. Take 2 cables from ur switch ports and connect it to ur Pc's

Keep losing connectivity

This is usually caused by the setup of the TCP/IP properties, most people do not have static IP addressing, so open the Wireless Connetion Properties window, find the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and select it then select the properties button to bring up another window showing the properties for this, select the "Obtain an IP address automatically" and "Obtain DNS server address automatically", OK out of these dialogs and that should take care of it.

I have a D-Link DES-1108 Ethernet switch. I have my switch plugged into my router and i know the cable has connection but it still won't issue me an IP. Auto-negotiation is enabled on my router but it...

To determine if the router or the Ethernet switch is faulty.
Disconnect the Ether switch and connect the computer to the router and see if it connects to the Internet.
Next if you have a couple of computers, connect them to the Ether switch and see if the computers can communicate with each other. You may need to configure the LAN cards with a fix IP address (say 192.168.0.XX each computer must have a different XX number). Remember to change the TCP/IP configuration back to Obtain an IP address automatically and Obtain DNS server address automatically.
If these test are OK then the problem is the connection or route configuration. You do not need a crossover cable between the router and switch.
Get back to me with the results of the tests then I can advise you what to do next.
