How do I delete my gmail account from a laptop which is no longer used by me but maintain my account?

you should be able to go into settings in the application you use and delete the account from there. The application or "client" as its called depending on what operating system you are using will tell you. You wont lose your email account, but you want to keep a record of your password and email address to asssign another application to download your email on another machine.

How do I perm delete my gmail and facebook acct

Hi, there is no perm delete, all data on those accounts once you have relinquished control of your account, belong to Facebook and Google. you can request to have your account deleted with Google but any data you have ever sent or received is somewhere in their system and belongs to them. On Facebook in your setting you can delete your account it will no longer exist and you will disappear from friends accounts and certain comments will be deleted but all you have done is remove your details from public view and lost all control of all the data, it then belongs to Facebook.

How do you delete a gmail account?

I gathered from your question that your Internet Explorer browser is out of date and is not supported by Gmail. I never use MSIE, but instead have used Firefox on both Windows and Linux to access my Gmail.

Now, to get rid of Gmail, a Google search will do the trick over in the next tab..... Delete Gmail account

Don't even have to go to a web site for the answer, the Google search page gives me directions, which follow:

If you decide that you don't need your Gmail address anymore, here's how you can remove Gmail from your Google Account:
  • Sign in to your account at accounts.google.com.
  • At the top, click Data tools.
  • In the Data Tools box, click Delete products.
  • Click Remove Gmail permanently.
That should do it!

How do I delete my profile in google??

Deleting your Google Account will affect all products associated with that account (i.e., Blogger, AdSense, Gmail), and affect each product differently. Before deleting your Google Account, review the data associated with your account on the Google Dashboard. If you use Gmail with your account, you'll no longer be able to access that email. You'll also beunable to reuse your Gmail username.
Read up on specific information about other products that you're using.
To delete your Google Account:
  1. Sign in on the Google Accounts homepage. (If you forgot your password, you can reset it).
  2. Click Data tools at the top.
  3. In the Data tools box, click Delete account and data. If you don't see this link near the bottom of the page, your account was likely created through an organization or company.
  4. Confirm your account deletion. To do so, you'll need to select these two options: "Yes, I want to delete my account," and "Yes, I acknowledge that I am still responsible for any charges incurred due to any pending financial transactions." (You can safely select the latter option if you haven't used any of Google's paid products, such as AdWords and Wallet, or if you have no pending financial transactions related to these products.)

Email deleted on the server still remains in my iphone

That's strange. Except if you have the iPhone email settings set to POP instead of IMAP ...
Without knowing how much you have troubleshooted this already, I'll suggest making sure that IMAP is ENABLED on ALL your Gmail accounts and ALSO that IMAP is enabled on all your iPhone email accounts.
If IMAP is working properly you should stay in synch, no matter how you check or delete individual emails.
If you have IMAP enabled on one of the Gmail accounts, you can still access it via POP settings with the iPhone. If this is the setup, then when you delete an email on the server, it will not be synced when you check your mail on the iPhone, but instead you'll just retrieve any new mails that hadn't already been retrieved previously. However, if you delete a mail message on your iPhone in this scenario, it will not "return."
Good luck!
