2 stroke motors don't die easily :) Locate the High and Low speed mixture screws on the carburetor, gently screw them in until they bottom out, and then back them out 1.5 turns each.

Please be sure to rate this solution.

I might have to take that one back... you mentioned it was a riding mower, I know snapper used to be all about the 2 strokes, but I don't know if they made 2 stroke riding mowers. Sorry for the confusion ;)

    Joe

How can I stop leak?

Hi Charlotte:
You'll need to determine the exact source of the leak:
- Failed hose? Replace it.
- Hose not tight on coupling? If there is enough slack, cut 1/2 " off end of hose and re-install.
- Hole in tank or coupling tube. Repair or replace.
Hope this helps.
Cheers.

Snapper Hi-Vac riding mower that won't start with starter

You may need a 300cca battery, an ignition switch or a solenoid to get things going again. I also would check to make sure the starter gear has not locked in the flywheel teeth; it will burn up the starter. You should be able to go to the snapper website and put your model of mower in and find the parts and diagrams you need.
Good Day.
