Without knowing the model of your Casio Exlim 7.2megapixel camera I can't give you a definitive answer, but some earlier Casio cameras were designed to work with the original SD specifications, and will not work with the newer SDHC cards. SDHC cards will only work in cameras specifically designed to accept them. With older cameras you're limited to SD cards, 2GB or smaller.

SOURCE: cant get sdhc card to format with kodak eashshare cx7430

Your camera has no support for SDHC, only SD - this in essence means you can put a maximum of 2gb card.

Good luck.

SOURCE: I inserted a SDHC 8gb Memory Card and the camera

My wife has this camera and I didn't think it would accept an SDHC card, just the standard SDcard.

SOURCE: after inserting the new SanDisk, SDHC Card, 8GB

First thing; check owner's manual and USA distributor, make absolutely sure that this camera is able to read/write to a 8GB card!
If so, put that card into your computer, directly into appropriate slot or through a "reader" and the USB port. If computer runs Windows, access My Computer, click on external memory device, and RIGHT CLICK. You will get a box which offers to format the card. You can rename the card at the same time. The computer's format routine is stronger that the one in the camera. If problem still happens, consult distributor. May be fixable with a cable from camera to USB port, you download new software from distributor. Follow their instructions EXACTLY.

How can I find a memory card today for my Digimax S600 camera? Sandisc 4 and 16 Gigabyte do not Work

You need to use SD cards, 2GB or smaller. The S600 does not work with higher capacity SDHC/SDXC cards.

SD cards are getting a bit harder to find, but they should still be available at most department, electronics, or office-supply stores. And, of course, the usual online sources.

The CX7530 uses SD cards, not SDHC cards. While SDHC cards will fit into the slot, they are electronically incompatible and will not work. You need to use SD cards, 2GB and smaller.

The EX-Z500 works with MMC and SD cards. While SDHC cards will fit into the slot, they are electronically incompatible and will not work with this camera.

I have just purchased a casio EX- H5 what sdhc memory do i need or which one is best.

Your camera can use SD or SDHC cards. I recommend SDHC because of their larger capacity. If you plan to take videos, I recommend a class 6 or better SDHC card of 8GB or more. Enjoy your new camera...it's getting very good reviews everywhere.

Hi can you tell me how to get my camera to recognise my sd card on my casio exilim ex-z500. I have tried reformatting but this hasn't worked.

Is it a SD card, or a SDHC (High Capacity) card of more than 8GB? Because the EX-Z500 natively does not support Large-SDHC.

Power off the camera. Press and keep pressed the MENU key, and while doing this, turn on the camera via the ON button. Press the MENU key until the firmware revision is displayed. I suspect you will see V1.01 or V1.00.

And Large-SDHC support is only present in release V1.02 of the Z500 firmware.

You should have the firmware updater-checker software; if not, you can find it on Casio website:

http://support.casio.com/download.php?rgn=4&cid=001&pid=170

This should fix it up. Let me know if it works.

Does a 4 gig work- i have one and now my camera isn't working

The EX-S600 uses SD (and MMC) cards. Your 4GB card is actually an SDHC card and will not work in the EX-S600. You'll have to stay with cards 2GB and smaller.

Why wont my SDHC 8GB sandisk memory cad work

because of the age of the camera, it is not compatible with the SDHC type cards, which means anything bigger than 2gb won't work, regardless of brand.

Will casio exilim ex-z60 work with a kingsto 4gb sdhc card

it may, but im not sure if the sdhc or only the sd card is comapitble, it may say its not, but on a cheap camera i got once, i put a 8gb shdc card in it and it was only able to handle 2 gb sd (thats what it said in the manual) and the card showed up as 8gb and was completely usable, i would try the card in the camera before you purchase it, ask at the counter or something, because it may work even if the manual says it wont

Im using 8gb SDHC card (scandisc) camera keeps reporting read error or write error. won't download photos, locks up etc, etc. lost many holiday photos. It is only 6 weeks old.... should Ijust use 2 mb SD -...

If all other cards work fine then you may have a faulty memory card.

Your camera should theoretically be able to handle an 8GB SDHC card (but only up to 2GB xD card) as it is an SDHC compatible camera, but I've encountered more than a few cameras in the past which were SDHC compliant but could only handle up to 4GB.

Most of these had firmware updates to enable up to 16GB SDHC but the Fuji S1000fd has no firmware update.

If you find that the SDHC card is fine after all then I'd suggest contacting Fuji for a definite say so as to whether they know of any issues with 8GB SDHC compatibility.

I have the SD-1. It stops recording on my 8gb after only 43 min

Try formatting the card while its in the camcorder, this might sort the problem for you, also look in the camera's menu to see if its restricted to a certain amount of used memory at once, basically return the camera to factory settings.
I find a lot of camera's don't like certain SD cards anyway even if the camera says it supports them, Sandisc are making just about the best SD cards at the moment

kind regards
