ASUS ALL IN ONE computer ET2221i-b85 The time is not correct and keeps losing time. I want to replace the cmos battery .

Keeping time has always been a problem for computers, as their internal clocks needed something to synchronize with. If you have an Internet connection and use Windows, you can get the time adjusted regularly using a time set function from Windows online. The CMOS battery will have little to do with time settings, unless it goes bad. Then, not only will your date and time go out of sync, so can many other settings in the CMOS. So, unless you are getting a low battery warning, or both the date and time are out of sync, you probably don't need a new CMOS battery and replacement probably won't fix you time drift issue.

In Windows 10, to get auto time sync, go to "Settings", then select "Date and Time". Under this you will see an option to "Set Time Automatically", as well as to select your time zone.

Having to set the date and time every time I change the battery.

Your clock battery is dead. Simple to replace. Any place that has batteries should have what you need. Just find the number on the old battery. Good Luck

How do you set the system date and time

To set the Date & Time, go into the BIOS setting - date 7 time.
When you set the Date & Time and you get this error again when you next boot up your computer, then most likely you have a flat BIOS battery.
Then replace this battery, it could be a coin size battery - 3 volt lithium battery type CR2032. and then go into the BIOS setting and set the Date & Time.

Bad back-up battery

If the computer cannot keep the Date and Time after you set it and when you boot up next time the Date and Time has changes or not set then the BIOS battery is flat and needs to be replaced.
When you remove the case the BIOS battery most likely will be a coin size 3volt lithium battery, type CR2032.
After replacing the BIOS battery, boot up the computer and go into the BIOS setting and set the Date & Time etc.

My system time and date is not set

Go into the BIOS settings then to the Date and Time and set the Date and Time, Save the settings and Exit.
IWhen you boot up later and the Date and Time is incorrect then the BIOS battery is flat and a new replacement battery is needed. The BIOS battery keeps the laptop's configuration plus the Date and Time settings unless the battery is flat.

I have an intel g41 motherboard....every time i switchon d pc...it shows check cmos error and the time and date are set to defaluts

This error occurs when the BIOS battery is flat. Replace the BIOS battery, most motherboards use a lithium battery type CR2032, this is a coin size battery. Check the BIOS battery type used on your motherboard before you purchase the battery.
After replacing the battery go to the BIOS setting and set the Date & Time etc. and you will not have this CMOS error.

My wife is complaining that every time she turns off/on the camera she has to reset the data/time. I understand that when the batteries are changed the settings may be lost, but not simply when the camera...

Sounds to me that there may be another battery inside the camera that is going bad.

Issue: Everytime I power on the camera the Date / Time needs to be set.
Solution: Replacing the Date Battery for the PowerShot A480.

Replacing the Date Battery. If the Date/Time menu appears when the camera power is turned on, the date battery charge is low and the date and time settings have been lost. Please purchase a lithium coin battery (CR1220) and replace it as follows.
Please note that the first date battery may appear to expire relatively quickly after you purchase the camera. This is because it is installed in the camera at the point of manufacture, not when you make the purchase. caution.gifBe particularly careful to keep the date batteries out of the reach of children. Seek medical assistance immediately if a child swallows a battery since corrosive battery fluids can damage the stomach or intestinal walls. 1. Confirm that the camera power is turned off.
2. Open up the battery door / cover and remove the AA Batteries.
3. Remove the date/time battery holder.
4. Grasp the battery and slide it in the direction of the arrow.
a480backupbatt.jpg 5. Insert a new battery with the (+) side facing up.
6. Replace the battery holder and battery cover.
7. When the Date/Time menu appears set the date and time.
note.gif After purchasing the camera and turning on the power for the first time, although the Date/Time menu will appear, you do not need to replace the date battery. If you ever dispose of your camera, first remove the date battery for recycling according to the recycling system of your area.

Every time I replace the 4 AA batteries all camera

There is an internal battery back up for storing settings. It's soldered to the main board and I don't think it's a rechargeable battery judging by the amount of people who have owned these cameras who have encountered the same problem.
It's a watch type battery and these things do go flat after a few years and unless you know the type and voltage only fuji service centres can replace.
It won't affect the camera's performance it's just a pain having to set up each time you change the batteries.
