Question about Vacuums
Remove the belt...(Take note of the direction of the belts installation direction) and make sure that the beater brush spins freely with the belt off. If it does not, check for hair or strings at each end where the bearings are located and pull them out with a pair of needle nosed pliers and /or cut them out with scissors. you can spray a little bit of WD40 around the bearings after the debris is removed. If it then spins freely, reinstall the belt the "same directional way" that it came off. It should work fine now.
