Ryobi 2000 watt gen is leaking fuel into air cleaner.

Most common for a unit that has been setting with fuel in the carburetor to have varnish around the inlet needle, so that it is sticking and not turning off the incoming fuel. Suggest you disassemble and clean the carburetor, and replace any damaged parts.

It will cut out when i give it full trottle,it idles just fine .its a ryobi 31cc 17 in

You can adjust the 'H' - high speed needle by removing the plastic carburetor cover by removing the 4 torx screws. On the carburetor, there may be a 'L' and 'H' needle. (Ryobi used two different carburetors on this model and one may not have a 'L' and one may not be adjustable with common tools). If the 'H' needle is adjustable, start the machine, warm it up and go to WOT (wide open throttle). At WOT, turn the screw about 1/4 turn out or in and see if the engine speeds up. If it does, fine the point in which the machine gets the highest RPM's and then back it off about 1/8 turn.

Note: This is a sign of a carburetor that needs to be cleaned and rebuilt with a new fuel metering diaphragms which would be common if the machine is > 4 years old and you did not completely run the machine dry of fuel in the fall. Rebuild kits available for about $15 through local sources or $10 through ebay.

My ryobi string cutter wont stay running

Sounds like you will need to clean your carburetor.
Be sure to use compressed air to blow out all the fuel and air passages.
Be careful when blowing out the passages because there are sometimes small rubber type seats in the bottom of some of the passages.
Sometimes you can get by with priming the carburetor a few times, and letting it run a few times like that and it will flush the gunk out of the jets, but most of the time you will need to rebuild the carburetor.
Keep in mind that the float for the carburetor must be level when you go to reassemble the carburetor.
If the mower/weedeater is over a couple years old, then I also recommend that you buy and install a new carburetor repair kit, because the diaphragm will get hard and that will cause it to be hard to crank.
When you clean your carburetor and remove the jet screws, You will first seat the jet screws and count the number of turns it takes to seat the jets from their original position.
That way when you go to put the jets back in, you know how many turns they were in/out.

My ryobi cs26 will not continue to run after it starts when it is in the RUN position. To keep it running I have to leave the carburetor lever in the START position.

The reason you have to leave it in the start position is it is starving for fuel. Make sure fuel tank and lines are clean.Take a can of carb or choke cleaner and clean the carburetor out its probably gummed up inside. you will probably have to readjust the carburetor when done.

My Ryobi RY08548 starts OK, but when I try to run at speed, it stalls.

First, you will need to check the fuel lines for cracks & breaks.

You will need to disassemble the carburetor and spray with carb.cleaner. Make sure the small screen in the carb. is free of debris. Use a Den Tek Brush, (http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=165357&catid=1152), to clean the small portals in carb. These portals can become blocked. Reassemble and start.

(NOTE: If the carburetor parts are more than four years old, and depending on the use, you will need a new carb. kit if the cleaning doesn't work.)

If you need further assistance, just let me know.

Ryobi SS30 trimmer starts fine and runs at when in full choke position to about half choke position. But when I put the choke lever to the full run position, it stalls out. Ryobi ss30 same problem of...

You need to rebuild the carburetor. You will need to go to an outdoor power & equipment store of some kind to get a carburetor kit for your specific trimmer. It will come with various gaskets, (some of which you won't use), a needle valve, and a small screen that goes in the carb. Replace all old parts with new. New primer bulb is sold seperately. When you have the carb. apart, you will also need to clean the small ports with a Den Tek Brush (used for cleaning teeth). Use carb. cleaner when cleaning.
