Question about Focal Wireless USB Transmitter

1 Answer

My Focal Digital Wireless Transmitter (Dongle) is not currently transmitting sound from the USB port of my Mac Powerbook. I've re-synchronized the dongle and the Focal IBird receiver. I also turned off the IBird receiver and drained its charge as suggested by the manufacturer. So far, no good. The transmitter and receiver transmission lights are both working and appear synchronized. Still no sound while. I've had the Focal system for a year and it has worked well until now. I mostly use to transmit internet radio. Any suggestions? Maybe I've damaged the dongle in some way.

Tap it and unplug it multiple times and if that doesn't work, then it's trash

Why can't my Dell desktop computer pick up my wireless connection? It keeps telling me a cable is unpluged but the wireless service is working fine.

Most desktop computers, and especially office models, do not have integrated wireless networking like laptops do since they are not portable. They were designed for wired network cabling. If the desktop HAS wireless capability, there would need to be an expansion card installed and a wireless antenna protruding from the back, or it needs a wireless transmitter/receiver dongle plugged into a USB port. If it doesn't have either of these, it probably doesn't have wireless. However, wireless connectivity is as easy as getting a wireless USB dongle for about 35-40 USD.

You can compare that with what is running on your computer by clicking "Start" "Control Panel" and "System". This gives the computer hardware.

2. Unplug the Bluetooth dongle, restart the computer, plug it into a USB port. If you leave power on the computer with the dongle already instead, the system can not detect the devices. Can MS Wireless IntelliMouse Explorer 2.0 be upgraded to version 3.0 or 4.0?

I understand that USB dongles come paired from fabric with the mouse, and they don't sell them apart. OK, I'm not sure

Where is the reset button for the afterglow AP.2 wireless located

There is not one. The Afterglow AP2 requires a dongle that plugs into one of your available USB ports in the system. Without it, it is just a glowing paper weight. Setup: Controller=transmitter, dongle=receiver. Read the box if you have it. If it says something like (2.5 htz) then it isn't bluetooth compatible.

I ve a mac, how can I use Bernina software

Select and install virtualization software for your MacBook Pro. You can choose from several popular virtualization packages for the Mac, including Parallels Desktop for Mac, VirtualBox and VMware Fusion. VirtualBox is a free, open source software package, while Parallels Desktop and VMware Fusion are commercial software products

Install Windows within your virtualization software. You much purchase a copy of the Windows operating system if you do not already own it; it does not come with the virtualization software. Most virtualization software includes a wizard, or assistant, to guide you through the Windows installation. Windows will now run in a "virtual machine" on your MacBook Pro.

Install your Bernina Artista Embroidery Software on your virtual Windows system. You install software into the Windows virtual machine the same way you do on a physical PC.

Plug the Bernina security dongle into a USB port on your MacBook Pro. The Windows virtual machine acknowledges the dongle, and may ask you if the USB dongle is to be used with the Mac or Windows system. The dongle is a hardware device that provides copy protection for the Bernina embroidery software.

Run the Bernina Artista Embroidery Software by choosing it from the Windows Start menu

Can't get Fellowes 98904 mouse to synch

This is sort of general but it just may help.
Make sure your batteries are in correctly.
Make sure the transmitter dongle is in the USB.
Look on the transmitter and the mouse and keyboard
itself (bottom) for a little tiny button that says connect
or reconnect. Move the mouse about six inches away from
the transmitter and press both the transmitter and the mouse.
That should reestablish the signal twixt the two.(or three KB)

I?ve had issues with USB mice on the more inexpensive KVM switches. I?m currently using a Belkin OmniView using a Microsoft Explorer USB optical mouse and a PS2 to USB adaptor. The adaptors I use are from Cyberguys.com and work well for most of the USB mice we have.
