SOURCE: I purchased an mp3 player

Hi!

After pluging in to USB, your computer should identify your player and see it as some external storage. To be sure, please open MY COMPUTER, and see what drive letter your mp3 player received. If you can find it here, simply use the COPY/PASTE commands from MY COMPUTER to copy your music to the mp3 player

Please let me know if it helped

Good luck!

I cant get the music to download

Hi Duane
Downloading Music to MP3 Player

1...You must download and install Windows Media Player 11 on your computer.
NOTE...Some older MP3 players will not work with Windows Media Player 11 or Windows 7 with Windows Media Player 11.
If this happens to you, then you will have to uninstall Windows Media Player 11 and install Windows Media Player 10.
2...After you have downloaded and installed Media Player on your computer.
3...Open Media Player on your computer.
4...Install all your music into Media Player that you want to install on your MP3 player.
5...Plug in your MP3 player to the computer using your Data/Sync cord, be sure that Windows Media Player is on.
6...Media player should recognize the MP3 player and sync with it.
7...After it is sync'ed with the computer, you can add the music you have installed into Windows Media Player to your MP3 Player.

CAN'T HEAR MUSIC, IT SAY FORMAT ERROR,WHAT DO I DO?

Your getting a format error because the format of the song, video, etc
you are trying to play is not the format needed by your MP3 player to
play the song,video,etc.
Always check in your owners manual to find out what format your player
requires.
Once you have determined what the format you have (MP3,MP4,ACC,WMA,etc.)
you will need to determine what format you need for your player to play
those songs,video,etc.
If the format that you have for your songs, videos, etc is different than
the format that you need for your player to play them, then you will
have to download a format converter and convert each song, video, etc to
the format that is usable in your MP3 player.

Needs to format and I do not know how.

Hi

To format it Connect it to the computer, go to My computer-> right click on the mp3/mp4 player after it is displayed-> select format-> Format it as FAT32 File system. Formatting the MP3/MP4 player will delete all the songs/data from the player. So, backup all data before formatting it. Hope this helps...

What do you mean by formatting mp3 player?in general what does formatting means?

Formating your MP3 player means to remove all songs/pictures/etc from your player.
Just be really careful when you format that you do not delete the files needed to make your MP3 player function.
Also format means the type of music, pictures, video's your player will recognize as in jpg,acc,mp4,etc.

Format error

Take note that if you have reformatted your drive all file inside were lost. Basically mp3 players can play only mp3 format. If the format of your songs inputted to your mp3 player are not the same with the format required to your player nothing should be happen to play.

If the required of your player is mp3 so you need to put only mp3 format. No other format should be played. If your download songs are wma format convert it to mp3 format.

Want to play cd on old cd player

If you want an old CD Player to play a disc burnt on a PC, the file format has to me .wav. Most burning software will convert other formats to .wav files.

Formating the mp3 player

Don't format the player. Run a Repair in the Philips Device Manager. If you have lost your installation CD, you can get the Philips Device Manager from Philips website.

I would recommend you to format..There are two ways you can format the player..
1) using windows media player
2) the player itself..

To format the device using windows media player..
Assuming that you are running windows XP/WMP11
Open your windows media player
Click on your sync tab
your device should be listed on the right side...
then right click on it and hit format...
Once format completed unplug the player and plug it back in..

To format the player using the player itself

To format the player using the device itself..
go under Menu, then click on setting, then there should be a format option if there isnt a format option under setting you will need to click under system info and look for format.. When the format is finished, the player will turn off

Then you will need to get a firmware upgrade for the device..to get a firmare upgrade follow the link below...
