If the memory card is not recognized in the PC or it is impossible to access the data on it, the controller on the card is damaged. There is only one way to get the data back, unsolder memory chips and directly access their raw data with a programable chip reader. Software can't help, that is a physical damage! Have a look at: CF xD SD memory card/stick photo recovery

What kind of memory card is used in casio ex-z750 7.2

The EX-Z750 uses SD cards up to 2GB in size. These cards should be available at just about any department, electronics, or office-supply store.

When inserted with memory card, the camera is locked

Look at the memory card. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

If that doesn't work, try another card.

How do I upload photos from a casio exilim z750 camera to a windows 7 computer?

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

How big of an SD card can I use with my Casio EX-Z750 Camera? I'd like to use a 4 GB or 8 GB but was warned they may not work. Can't find this info on the Casio site, and don't want to waste money on...

The Z750 uses SD cards and is limited to 2GB cards. 4GB and up cards are SDHC (Secure Digital High Capacity) cards and do not work in devices designed for SD cards. This is a hardware issue and cannot be upgraded in firmware.

SD cards will work in SDHC devices, but not the other way around.

Casio exilim ex-80 always shows SD card as locked

the SD card should have a small switch on the upper left side it slides from lock to unlock if this doesnt work Look in the card slot - there may be a small bit of plastic sticking out over where the card's locking switch would fit when the card's inserted.

Camera Memory Card Capacity

Hi there, and welcome to FixYa.

First, make sure your cards are either, SD or MMC. Any other type won't work.
If they are SD and/or MMC cards, then the reason the cards aren't working is because they have to be formatted in the camera BEFORE you use them. Use the camera to format the cards, don't use your pc or a card reader.
The manufacturer says to use a 2gb card, but that doesn't mean you can't try a higher one. The only thing is that maybe it won't format the card right. Or, it may slow down the processing speed. It won't hurt the camera any.
Have fun with your camera. If you have any further questions, leave me a comment, and don't forget to rate my solution.

Problem with taking picture with SD card

The only thing I can recommend is using the brands of memory cards that Casio recommends. They are Panasonic, San Disc, Toshiba. Make sure the card is formatted with the camera before use.
