Question about Computers & Internet
Why does my wireless Router not let me connect my Laptop to my desktops wireless Router Group!!
You need to give a bit more information as to which OS you are using, if you are using win 7 go to your main machine and click start, and select "control panel" check you are viewing by "category" (top right), then under the "network and Internet" click "choose homegroup and sharing options" near the bottom you will see "view or change the homegroup password", make a note of this exactly as it is caps included, then on the machine you want to include in the network do the same and look for "join a homegroup" and type in the password you got from your main machine. that should sort it. If you get ipv6 errors use google to find the fixit from Microsoft. hope tha helps a bit.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: I just got a Zyxel
Try reseting the prestige, theres a reset button in the back, hold it down for 30seconds it will restore the zyxel to factory defaults and it should work instantly.
you can find the user manual from here
just incase you need help in setting its settings.

I am using the Eee PC from Taiwan also. It is running good.
Based on your scenario, have you tried changing another new router?
Your description of having "out of range" is highly probable due to router hardware failure.
Try replacing the router and update us again.

Even if it's a new Dell, you may need to update either the drivers for the wireless card or the BIOS.
Also, verify which protocol your Dell is set to use (i.e. 802.11g, 802.11b, auto-select, etc.). Dell may have fixed to to a slower protocol for compatibility.

YES> If you will install a router into your network, it will share the internet conenction among the two computers. Both wireless and wired. So the connection will be from
Modem ----> Router (wireless/wired capable) ------> PCs (two Pcs both the desktop and the laptop
and you can also add up another PC if you want to.
