HP psc 2110xi color printing problem

I have a HP psc 2110 printer. It has always run perfectly, until now. the colors are not printing the same as on my screen at all. These grey colors that I always print fine as grey are now printing as blue. These are regualr JPEG files & TIF files.

This first started when I printed PDF files and they came out as shades of red. I see that is a common problem- But these are regular graphics JPEG that I am trying to print.

I have done all of the maintance that was suggested like reset factory defaults, run the print test & clean the print cartridges.
Please help, I have aproject due on Monday.

I replaced both cartridges, so that is not the problem- I cleaned the heads by running the maintenance. do I need to still buy the cleaning kit?

    Dear Bootz 84

I am really sorry. I really appreciated your help. I had never heard of this website before & was not familiar with how it works. So I just answered the question. But my answer was not accurate- you were absolutely on the same top. To be honest , the question shouldn't be worded this way. It should just ask if this solution solved the problem? It's great that a website like this exists & that there are people out there like you offering to help.Thank you.

    Sorry again.......

    Dear MN Fisherman,

How do I find updated print drivers? Should I just re-install the print driver that I had. If yes, how do I do that.

    Thank you for your help.

    Dear MNfisherman,

Thank you very much, I will try installing new drivers. If I have any questions will let you know- but it may not be until tomorrow.

    Thanks again.

If you haven't yet tried it, replace the ink cartridges entirely. You may simply be running low on a certain colour, if the cartridge for your colour actually has 3 different colours in it, you could be registering that the colour cartridge still has plenty of ink, but you might have run completely dry on one of the colours inside the cartridge.

Just a tip, when you rate someone as 'inappropriate', as you did with me, you're saying that they weren't even on the same topic as your problem. In this case, I tried to help you with your problem, on topic, and was rated inappripriate, so you give me very little reason to want to continue helping you, or helping you in the future.

If you're still having problems with your printer, I would suggest taking it to a repair store, or replacing the unit.

The printer head may need to be cleaned. You can buy a cleaning kit for the head.

Check for any updated drivers for your printer it will only take a momment and rule out one problem

    You can try:

    - Uninstalling the printer software and reinstalling
    - Go to than go to support & drivers, Find you PSC model and download the drivers from
    - Or go to the internet search bar and type in: hp psc drivers and you will see a list of websites that carry the driver.
It is usually best to go to factory website like HP and download there drivers.

If you have ran the maintenance program, and installed new ink, than the problem is either it needs updated drivers or the printer needs repair.

My printer will not align the print cartridges

Okay i used to have the same problem, but all you have to do is this:
1.  Plug in HP PSC 2110xi All-in-One to the computer 2.  Turn the printer on 3.  Unplug the power chord from the printer (don't turn it off before you do this) 4.  Wait at least 45 seconds (and actually wait 45 seconds, don't guess) 5.  Plug the printer power chord back into the outlet 6.  If the printer does not automatically turn on, turn it on 7.  When it asks you to align cartridges, press enter, and follow the directions
This time it should work :]
