Replace your magenta cartridge first. If the problem persist I strongly recommend a service tech. Error 51.2M is an magenta scanner(laser) error or DC controller.

possible fuser issue..in the control panels.. you can go into diagnostics and actually run individual components.. give that a tray..

5120 code error

Any of these error codes (51.20 51.21 51.22 51.23) points to a failure with one of the laser scanner assemblies on the HP Color LaserJet 4610 an 4650 series. To solve these error codes, replace the corresponding laser scanner. Sometimes when the laser scanner fails you will also hear loud noises (often higher-pitched noises like screeching sounds); the noises can be another sign that the laser scanner needs replacing.

This error due to black scanner scanner no 1,take the help of expert or open with common sence first remove all the covers remove the formatter from back side then you will find the laser scanner ,you will find the two lever locks(arms)left & right.
pull out the no 1 scaner open the cover & clean the scanner internally with soft cotton & also clean the spendel motor phase. I think your problem will be resolved.Dont forget to calibrate the printer at least three times. thanks reply if resolved

Hp 4600 error message 51.2c The message appears as soon as i insert the cyan cartridge. It was working properly but after printing 2000 pages (mostly blue color) there was noise and after that the message...

errors in the 51 range are laser scanner errors, it's saying either the laser is out or the scanner motor is not turning, or not turning fast enough. A good shop repair.
