Problem for HTC G1

Can't download pictures from a text on my g1

when i get a picture message on the my g1 i click download to receive it but it always says download was unsecessful. why is that and what can i do to fix it?

- First off I do have the data plan and my account balance is not overdue or anything like that. For some reason I can not download/view pictures or attachments in text messages sent from friends, whereas I used to be able to.

I can browse the internet still on the phone and listen to streams from the last.fm app i can even send and recieve text messages. I just cant like I said view/download any attachments from text messages.
