Usually it is a clamp that holds the hose to the port on the washer. Make certain it is tight and firmly in place around the hose. Check to see the Hose is Free of cuts. If it is old, it may be ridged and cracking. The other thing that happens, is the door seals or door adjustments. Water can leak from the seals around the door and spill under the washer. Lay a towel under the door to collect water and see if that is the source. In some cases the door alignment is off. Look to see if the Locking attachment is bent or out of line. This can be out of adjustment from slamming the door shut or pulling on the handle when the washer is in progress.

Kenmore He3 Door Switch Problem

I would say the door should be removed and take a good look at how it strikes switch, it may just be a switch adjustment or door adjustment, with the front door panel remove you can adjust and test to see if switch is closed with a meter, this may save you money, heres a video on the link, its all about your washer, it shows you how to take it apart hope this helps,
if the door is too bad to adjust then replace it ,but i think with a little adjusting it will be okay, note make sure door rubber seal is in place also.

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

I feel certain that there is no adjustment for any make of washer door. I therefore gently would suggest that your washer is not level and anything but fully open and the door will close by gravity ;-0(

It is necessary to ensure absolutely that the machine has all 4 feet very firmly on the floor, and I mean firmly ;-0)
Doesn't matter whether it is empty or not but switch it off then-
very firmly push one front corner diagonally into the centre of the machine and see if the machine moves or rocks AT ALL, even the slightest. If it does you will need the open-ended spanner which came with the (new) machine........which of course went missing a long time ago?!! An adjustable spanner will suffice.
Adjust the foot under that corner downwards until it is very firmly- almost pushing- against the floor but not so far that the corner lifts up!
If this corner did not rock do the same to the other.
Once you cannot rock the machine the slightest little bit, screw the locking nuts up tight to the underside of the machine so that they will not move. Ideally the rear feet should also be locked.

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

I have a Miele W404SB WPS washing machine. Water leaks out of the door during the washing cycle. Do you have any suggestions how I can stop this. Regards, Teresa Rooney

1. Make sure the washer is level first, with a small torpedo level at the top center edge of the washer ,check at the front and one side. If its not, adjust the 2 front level foot adjusters (at the front of the unit where they touch the floor) to level the washer.
2. If level is ok, check the door seal and replace if cracked or torn or old and hardened.
3. If ok, look at the latch on the door and the washer. Some have an adjustment for how far the door closes to latch. There will be 2 screws or small bolts you will loosen to slide the lever or the latch plate to adjust so the door closes tighter.
4. If ok, then the water level sensor will have to be replaced by a qualified tech.

check the alignment of the doors. their is an adjustment on the top hinge. also the hinges have washers on them that you can adjust the door up and down by moving washers to the hinge under or over the door.
if you already checked this and think it is a different problem then let me know, i will help you figure it out.

Door adjustment. one side of door is taller than the other.

There are usually nylon washers on the bottom hinge pin. Last time the doors were removed one was probably lost. On a side by side or french door model the washers should be in the same place on each side. There is usually one or two on the bottom and at least one on top.

Washer door has to be held in to make it operate.

First try some WD40 on the door device (on machine). If this does not work change the door switch.
