Question about JVC THG41 - Home Theater System - Dvd Receiver; Dvd/Cd Playback; Ipod/Iphone Playback; Fm Pl
That would have to do with the chipset that is in the DVD player. Older player can't play all the new codecs They may never use the other codecs since licensing may be required. I doubt you can flash the chips with newer codecs. It's just easier to get a newer player. The problem is the IRAA or whomever has been fighting any usb devices that can play movies or music that can be gotten off the internet and prevent such devices from modernizing or existing at all. We should be glad for the ones that made it though before they fought against them.
