Chromecast to bytecc hm-cv15 hdmi audio extractor to an iLive IT202B - no audio output

I've plugged in Chromecast into a Bytecc HM-cv15 Audio extractor. Using the RCA output on the HM-CV15 to an ilive IT202B sound bar. Audio is not playing. Video does work. iLive says it has a built in amplifier (25 watts per channel?) Ideas?

Turn off the sleep mode. For some reasons the geniuses ship it with a sleep setting already on. Hold the sleep button til it shows the time then press the sleep button several times until it displays 00. good luck!

Toshiba theater wide HD external speakers not working?

When you convert from HDMI to DVI you only convert the video signal so you wont get any sound. To get the sound you will need a device that extracts the sound from the HDMI signal. These are readily available. However as you need the Chromecast to plug into the DVI converter and the sound extractor, you will also need an HDMI device that converts a single HDMI input the two HDMI outputs, or a sound extracting device that has an HDMI pass through. Ether way this is going to be a bit expensive compared to the original cost of the Chromecast. It might just be cheaper to buy a TV that has an HMDI input.

Why isnt my tv sound comming out of soundbar

What did you plug into on television. Make sure it is Audio Out could be wrongly connected to component out or Audio in. Have you plugged in and turned on the AC power pack as this could be another possible cause of problems as the sound bar requires power. You may have a faulty AC power pack or power point.
I looked it up on Ilive's web site
32 Bluetooth Sound BarITB183B Press the power button first before selecting Source.Use the Source button on the control unit to switch between optical , aux inputs, line in. If you plugged it into the AUX in on the back you need to select Aux inputs (indicated by a white light) on the speaker. Do you have the user manual if not it is at http://www.iliveelectronics.com/fileuploader/download/download/?d=0&file=custom/upload/File-1380574738.pdf

Hope this helps as I do not have one myself

Many TVs have to have the optical output enabled in a set-up menu. Do you see red when the connector is disconnected (which doesn't necessarily mean that it is active, just that it is 'ON').

Have you checked the amplifier to insure that the input is working by connecting something else directly up to it? Can you test the TOSLINK converter by plugging the output into something else to determine where the problem lies. I still suspect it is in the menus of the TV.

How do I connect my ipod to my hm-381md stereo please?

Any audio device that has a headphone output can be adapted to feed an RCA cable pair for standard stereo to any audio device with a standard RCA input (except PHONO). Get a cable like the one described here: http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10218&cs_id=1021804&p_id=665&seq=1&format=2
and connect it into any available analog input EXCEPT "Phono".

Hi, Before doing anything please refer the motherboard manual, and as per my knowledge you need not solder any pin on the board, if you do so may be something else might not work. I better suggest you to check the Manual before doing anything.
