Samsung galaxy s3 media volume wont increase

try to set it back to factory.
press and hold the "Volume Up", "Home", and "Power" buttons.
Release the buttons when you see the recovery screen and the Samsung logo.
Use the volume buttons to navigate the menu and select "wipe data / factory reset". ...
On the next screen, press "Volume Up" to continue.

Also make sure that your hand or fingers don't rest on one of the bottom (capacitive) buttons (these are buttons activated by touch) near the home button.. it can also affect what your phone does while holding down the power button

this will wipe your phone and any glitches that may be associated with it:::sgs3 hard reset or reset Galaxy S3: PRESS AND HOLD VOLUME UP + Home Button + Power
Turn the phone off
Press and hold Volume UP and Home (center) button
Press Power until the phone vibrates
Wait until you see the Android logo then release all the buttons
Select Wipe data/Factory reset with VOLUME DOWN, press Power (right hand-side)
Select YES...delete all user data with VOLUME DOWN and then Press Power
After format, press Power again to reboot the phone (select reboot system now)

check call settings-accessories or check accessibility options for text to speech output you should be able to get volume to 15 by smart adjust.

you could try the extended graphic equaliser or try the headphones on google music or samsung smart link

hold home button power and volume down buttons for 30 seconds whilst connected to charger

The buttons Vol Up, Home and Power are the right buttons to press.
First press and hold the Volume Up and Home, then add Power.
Works fine with my tablet.

Hold the power down and press the -volume button down to reboot
