Question about Epson PowerLite® 83c LCD Projector
It works for 3-5 minutes at a time. After a minute or so of being off, it turns on and works for another 3-5 minutes. The bulb has been replaced. The bulb worked great for about 2-3 days and the problem started up again.
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

I assume this is an LCD. I don't remember the s4 being a DLP projector.
This sounds like the LCD panel used for the red color has gone out. The image is made up of red, green and blue images layered upon the screen. If the red panel has gone out then there is nothing filtering out the red light in the image. This causes a nice red hue to the whole screen.
It could be a simple open and reconnect fix. I personally have never opened a projector, so I'm not going to walk you through it as I do not know how hard it would be to tinker with. It should eb a cheap fix for a true repair man though.

Go to http://files.support.epson.com/pdf/pl83pl/pl83pl00ug.pdf#page=80&view=FitV&pagemode=none page 80, "What to do when the lights flash" . If that doesn't do it or it's not clear, please get back to me.
