HP vs 19 Flat Panel LCD Monitor will not turn on.

    I have the same VS19 Monitor and the same problem. The mointor has no power and even the light on the power button doesn't come on. This is my second Vs19 monitor to do this. The first one was only 11 months old and under warranty. HP replaced it. I've had the replacement monitor for only 3 months and it is no out.

    I have the same problem; I turned mine off before a storm and now it won't turn back on, even though it's plugged into a surge protector.

    i turned mine off one night and i tried turning it back on the next morning but nothing came up on the screen. No power, nothing- the led that usually signals power input didn't come on either.

    I have a 17 inch HP monitor that has similar problems. I left it online yesterday and when I came back an hour later the screen was black and the power button was blinking. I tried turning it off and back on but it still did the same thing. I am sick of HP and now using an old monitor until I can afford to buy a new Dell PC.

    me too... darn, I was hoping I would find good news and a way to fix it. This seems to be a common problem (no power to screen; no power-on-LED; when I plug in the power cord, the power-on-LED flashes very quick and that's the only response I get)

    My monitor wont turn on every time I plug in the power cord the only response is a quick flash and that is all it does any solutions really needed.

    I have had my 19' HP vs19 for about 3 years and it was working fine last night. I woke up this morning and the moniter is not working. The light doesnt come on or anything, tried unplugging, replugging, changing plugs.. nothing helps. Short circuited or what? There was no storm here... it just doesnt make sense.

I just pulled my friend's apart.... And apperently it's a few blown capacitors on the powerboard. I'm trying to find out how much a replacement powerboard will cost... but that's basically it. No real idea of cause... it had no trauma, not storm, just like all you guys are saying. I think it's a fault of the vs15 =/

My FPD1976W Gateway monitor will display for only 2-3 seconds then go black. I can turn monitor off then back on it will display for 2-3 seconds then again go black. Start button is not blinking. Does this...

You've got it, one of the circuit boards has one or more failed capacitors.

If you decide to take it apart, check for capacitors with either a bulging top or a yellow stain underneath on the board itself.

Befored taking it apart, because you will, even if just slighty, damage the screen case, check your warranties. I had one pop recently, it had a 3 year - return to base warrany.

Lcd monitor is flashing on & off

This monitor is expeicencing a defect on the backlight and the assembly behind it. The backlight may need replacing or you could just buy another monitor.

Hope this helps.

Sudden Shutdown of the unit, I Cannot use my FP72E BenQ LCD monitor Properly because at the middle of using it, it suddenly shutdown, open, shutdown again, open again. is this unit is capable for long...

For the monitor that is more than 2 years old, first place to look will be the power supply, look for bad caps with bulging top first, post back what you see inside so we can guide you further, see example of failed monitors due to bad caps;

Most repairs only carry a 30-day warranty. After that the monitor is subject to going out at any time. Then again, if the repair is done correctly, it could last for years. Check the cost of repair against the cost of a replacement monitor. Prices have come down drastically in the last 2-3 years, and you can pick up some real bargains. I just purchased an as-new 21-inch LCD for for $86 on eBay.
