You need to restore the factory defaults using the web interface. This may be because the router is not performing as expected or you wish to remove all previously configured settings.

Setup steps:

  1. Connect the computer to one of the four LAN ports on the router.
  2. Open a web browser on the computer.
  3. In the address bar of the web browser, type
  4. Click Login in the upper right-hand corner of the page. The router does not ship with a password, so just click Submit.
  5. after that you go to ssid and setup your network
  6. select your password us a 64bit wep
  7. disable WPS
  8. disable Firewall

and good luck finish.

I cant get on internet all i get is error 404 please can anyone help

The Error 404 "Page not found" is the error page displayed whenever someone asks for a page that’s simply not available on your site. The reason for this is that there may be a link on your site that was wrong or the page might have been recently removed from the site. As there is no web page to display, the web server sends a page that simply says "404 Page not found".
The 404 error message is an HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol) standard status code. This "Not Found" response code indicates that although the client could communicate to the server, the server could not find what was requested or it was configured not to fulfill the request.
The 404 "Not Found" error is not the same as the "Server Not Found" error which you see whenever a connection to the destination server could not be established at all.

Am trying to set up a Windows 2003 server to serve web pages over the Internet. Have got a DSL line from Embarq. They installed a EQ-660R interface which is really build by Zyxel. I can reach the Internet...

In order to access your default web page remotely, port 80 "INBOUND" must be open to the internet.

To access your web server, two things need to happen.
The first is you or someone else must initiate a http request on port 80 using the public IP Address of your DSL connection.
Second, your router must forward that request to your servers internal ip address.

Ex. Lets say your public ip address is In a browser window from a remote location, you enter the URL http :// The request will be sent to your router on port 80.

Your web server will not have the ip address because it's on the private network side of your router. So, lets say the private ip address of you server is

You need to configure your router to take the http request coming from the internet on port 80 to ip address and forward that request to This is known as port forwarding.

You also need to configure the host header name of your "web page" so it knows it needs to display the web page.

Since we're just using ip addresses in this example and not an actual FQDN (fully qualified domain name), you would make a host header entry for the web page of

To do this open IIS.
Navigate to the web site in question and right click on it then select properties.
On the website tab, ensure the port number is set to 80 and choose the appropriate internal ip address if you have more than one network adapter in the server.
Next click on the advanced tab and look for the heading Multiple identities for this site. This is where you enter the ip address

If you have a fully qualified domain name, you would enter the domain name instead of the ip address as specified in this example.

Host header names are the key to running multiple websites from one physical server as long as it has the necessary horsepower to do so.

Hope this helps and isn't confising. If you're confused in any way, don't hesitate to ask for clarification.

Port forwarding web server

Use the Public IP of the router or go to then use that IP address on your browser

i.e http://24.x.x.x:80

Or go to and click on guides and then port forwarding. Then choose the brand and model of your router and then follow the steps on that page.

Hope this helps, gambatte!!

Well the only way you will get the main page for the router, would be to type in its ip address o its specific http address. Make sure that you are typing in your web pages Http address. i.e. rather than an ip address. You will need the domain address if you are hosting the website on your computer. typing in the ip will simply tell it to go to your router login page.
