Question about Apple iPhone 4S
My wife brought me a new phone from trademe but it wont accept my sim card
The phone maybe locked to a particular carrier and needs to be unlocked to in order to use with other carriers. You must check witht the seller abot the carrier, i beleive you have been cheated.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
New users get to try the service completely Free afterwhich it costs $6 per call and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: i phone no sim
try removing the simcard from the iphone by inserting the end of a paperclip into the small hole at the top of the i-phone, this will push out the simcard. Then clean the simcard and re-insert it into the phone, the issue should now be resolved. if it persists then it could be because you have a faulty simcard in which case take your i-phone to your nearest apple/o2 store and they should give you a replacement.

check whether that phone is a t mobile or not. mostly foreign mobiles will not accept some Sim cards.kindly format the phone with new OS this will able your phone to accept the Sim card.kindly ask the service to format the mobile. after formatting the phone will be support the Sim card..

Use a different phone to contact Customer Service. They will give you a number to change your code and explain that you want to change your phone number and keep the desired number. If you try to change stuff without contacting them, the Sim card may lock up.
I believe this is a Security feature so that a stolen Sim or stolen phone will not link to the Network. It also may be used to prevent 1 ID being placed on multiple phones so that you only pay for one phone use and can not have 2 or more active phones in use at the same time with one ID.
