Hi there,

Well problem seems in the  Timer -
Although it's uncommon, the timer or the selector switch may be defective. If so, then it cause the dishwasher to overheat, you need to replace the Timer, because it can't be repaired.

Good Luck!!

Thanks

What product to delime the Hobart LXi ?

Ppur a full cup of apple cider vinegar into the empty dishwasher and run it for the full cycle. Then run it again with nothing in it. This will delime your machine beautifully.

As soon as you turn on power it starts to fill

It will look to the wash tank float to determine the water level and temperature. If the machine is empty, it will fill first. before letting a cycle start.
