Actually jkhnetx i can help you address those problems
if you want it to ring and vibrate at the same time, do the following:
1. open phone, and push the side key under the memory card slot.
2. scroll over to the 'PROFILE' setting
3. highlight the 'NORMAL' setting, and push the 'OPTIONS' key.
4. go to 'EDIT'. push 'CALL ALERT' and you get a wealth of options. you can also edit the MESSAGE and PHONE SOUNDS options.

Hold down the # key. It goes to vibrate mode.
Hold down the # key again and it goes back to the previous sound mode you were in before you set it on vibrate.

Vibration mode is actually under "Profiles" and listed as "Silent". You access by clicking Menu-Settings-Profiles, then scroll down to silent or any of the other profiles available. No idea what the other profiles mean, good luck with that. I got the same phone about a week ago and it sure isn't as intuitive as the dinosaur Nokia phones I've been using the last few years. I have been trying to figure out if you can have phone vibrate and ring at the same time, but I don't think you can. If you can figure that one out, let me know! By the way I moved "Settings" to one of 4 shortcut buttons around the AT&T globe, that way I can silence the phone quickly without having to scroll through those stupid pictures on the menu screen.
