Question about Dell Latitude 110L Notebook

Dell Studio 1735 off line-won't connect to Internt today

My Dell Studio is connected to a Wireless modem in another room in the house. The other computer goes on line-so the wireless modem is working now.

There was a box popup which wanted to indicate whether I wanted a Dell Dock. exe. I didn't respond to this popup but Trend Micro blocked it and something happened. Today, Trend Micro Tech Support said it wasn't Trend Micro's problem. I talked to them and did what they suggested but I still couldn't get online.

The Trend Micro firewall has possibly blocked the access to the Internet.

My dell 1735 turns on but does not go past the log in. Jumps back to the start up screen.

Hello here is the homepage:

If the F2 and F12 keys don't work, there's something wrong with the hardware. It could be as simple as a faulty keyboard or bad keyboard connection but my guess with the other problems occurring there is something more. You will need to contact Dell for in depth hardware

This could also be the harddrive failing.

Try visit a computer repair shop or a DELL autorized dealer/repair for detailed fault finding.

Good luck

Connecting to my network

Its not a modem its a router. A Modem plugs in to a Telephone line. A Router plugs in to a Broad Band Line. A Modem connects to a RJ11 Cable. A Router Connects to a Coaxial Cabal, the router connects to a computer via wireless or ethernet after that. A Modem connects to a computer using RJ11 or RJ45 Cat4 Ethernet. Very different.

Got a dell studio 1735 lost bios password

The jumper should be right next to the CMOS battery. It is also completely possible that simply pulling the CMOS battery would reset the BIOS enough to get rid of the password.

Dell 1735 computer drops wifi connection whenever it feels like intermittently

There are a number of things that can cause interference for your wifi connection. Everything from the number of walls between you and your router, any other wireless items in your house from phones to baby monitors, and depending on how close you are to your neighbors, their equipment may interfere with yours. The type of wireless you are using can also effect your connection. The Wireless N standard provides for the best speed and connection strength, with the speed as much as 8 times faster, and the signal strength better by a factor of 4.If you are not already using the N standard I would definitely suggest switching over to that standard.
If you do have a clear path to your router, and are not really getting any interference from other equipment, it is possible that you have an issue with either your wifi card or router. I would make sure you have the most up to date drivers for both pieces of equipment as that will go a long way towards eliminating the problem.

I cannot connect to the internet in the corner i have the two computers so it looks like im connected but all the page seems to be doing its loading and nothings coming up. Can you help me? Thanks

Have you tried connecting a different machine on the same line and establish internet connection? If it does try setting your network to obtain Ip's and DNS.

Right click on the two computers in the corner and click STATUS then Properties then select 84f78eb.jpg
Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and double click it.
A new window will appear

just click on obtain on both radio buttons. Then click on Ok then Ok again.

Now try your Internet.

Hope this helps.

presuming that the router moved with you the telephone line socket could be too far away from the BT socket or is not correctly wired. if you have not moved the router then you need to buy a booster
