Garmin nuvi 760, don't seem to be able to load music onto it

I would like to put some music on my sat nav. Have ripped from cd with media player and then tried to sync onto sat nav. However, no files found on sat nav. tried with a sd card. Music on there and can be played via pc, however the sat nav can't file mp3 files. Help would be much appreciated as I am off on a motorcycle trip and would like some music for the long journey. Thanks.

I have a 660, and it works fine from the sd card. Make sure the files are .mp3 and that you toggle the source from the mp3 player screen. Can you see the files in browse mode ?

I want to burn songs from my cd's to my mp3 player. I don't know how to load them on my computer. How do I load my cd's on my computer and then load them onto my mp3? I have Roxio Easy Media Creator 8 and...

First you need to convert the songs on the CD into mp3 music files then you copy these mp3 files to your mp3 player.
There are several freeware rip programs on the Internet that rip CD songs into mp3 files.
Do a Google search for these rip programs and install the program on your computer.
You can use Windows Media Player, it can rip music CDs and convert the music files into mp3 music files.

Trying to register a new Garmin sat.nav. So far

Try this link. If you can't just click on it, copy it to your browser line, not a search engine like google.

Will my itunes music library play on my Garmin nuvi 760? I dragged and downloaded my itunes music library onto my nuvi 760. When I hooked it up this morning to use it in my car it kept saying it was...

Your Garmin only supports MP3 files and iTunes is all MP4. The Best way to convert them is with "Real Player sp" Which is probably on your computer already or downlaod it for free. Open the music library and right click on the centre. There you will see "Converter" Select convert to MP3. Don't open iTunes. Instead go through; Start, my music, iTunes, library. This way you can drag a whole album into the converter. Plug your Garmin in with the USB cable and go through; Start, my computer, storage device H. At the bottom of the converter you can select where to send the converted files. Select the device H. Now press start and let it do it's thing. When it's finished you can see the old files in MP4 format with the new files in MP3 format listed under. Drag and drop is only a copy. You can delete all these files after to keep it tidy. All the original stuff is still safe and you Garmin should now have music on it. Try it with a small tune first to test. Best of luck. Regards Chris4fingers

I need help downloading my music from comp.to Gps Garmin Nuvi 750

Hi,

If you open the Nuvi folder in My computer, it could be a mounted drive.
supported file types are MP3, M3U, M3U8
Copy and paste to the folder.

then go to
Menu,tools,media player, source,browse.
In here you will have options too, fwd, rewind, skip, repeat, shuffle etc...

Hope this helps
Regards
Richard.

I am having problems downloading music on my Garmin Nuvi 760

what you can do is try and move the music onto the drive and not into a folder. Also if you are using a Garmin GPS then you cant download music because the type of device doesn't allow .mp3 files of music and it has its own music interface

Garmin does not read scandisk 2 gb.

it might be due to the fact that you garmin cannot read AAC music format(the format itunes uses). try using windows media player to rip the CD then put the music on the card using windows media player. this should take care of your issue.

hope this helped.
please rate good.

CREATIVE CENTRALE FOR 32GB XFI MP3 PLAYER loading in my computer but cannot acces it downlaoded it form the website still same problem Restarted computer and problem persists

You don't need Creative's software to load music to your MP3 player
Use FreeRip to rip your CD's and use Windows explorer to transfer your ripped music (use copy & paste functions) onto the Storage Media/Music folder in your X-Fi.

I have Windows XP SP3 and installed Creative Centrale without problems.
I can RIP music from CD's using the program but I find the program freezes up after ripping a few CD's -
I think that the errors are linked with the database program loading the CD data.
