My set is having a vertical related problem. When turn it on it displays a good screen and picture but a few seconds there is a folding of screen up and down that starts from the low portion of it..and that...

Please check the voltage in Vcc pin of the vertical output IC. If it is higher than apropriate voltage, replace the filter capacitor in the DC supply line of the IC. This voltage comes from one of flyback transformer windings so you should look for its rectifier diode and capacitor near the transformer. If this voltage is correct, replace the electrolitic capacitors in the vertical circuit output and some 100/220nF poliester capacitors near the linearity pin of the IC.

Need to know the exact value of capacitor about msi 848p neo2-v .the capacitor beside processor b'coz i want to replace it since the motherboard is not my hand. somebody know the pls tell me.. th

Hello here is the homepage:

The value is printed in on the capasitors.
You can unsolder them but, mark the location where it goes
and remember plus and minus.
This will probably cost the same, as a new mainboard to renew them all.

A electronic repair shop, can order the capasitors for you.

A brand new mainboard, is sold today for around 100 dollars, in a online shop.
Your mainboard has socket lga775, so you don`t need to buy a new cpu, but you probably have to buy a new windows, and ram modules as well.

Good luck

How to troubleshoot vertical, their is a block on the top of screen upper portion.

verticle has very few components a round it. you have said on top of a tv a shadow is appearing. do the following
when you check near the verticle IC there are three or four capacitors, a bigger capacitor one side is connected to an IC the other side is connected to a cable going to a scan coil, a scan coil is that round coil with four cables connected to it on a tube and check for leakages or shorts on the capacitor. thanks.

How do you fix the clock display

No or dim display? You can replace the clock at about $160.00, or Check for a burned capacitor on the clock board, The likely culprit is labeled C3 on the board, its a 35 Volt 68 mF capacitor that needs to be replaced with a high temp (105 degree C) capacitor . Any capacitor that shows signs of discoloration and or leakage should be replaced with the same value but high temp. component. You can use regular capacitors of near equal values in a pinch but find the good ones of the correct values for a long term fix.

ASUS A8N-E motherboard dosen't boot up

Make a deep examination of the board, look for burned/broken microresistors. You might need a magnifying glass and good lighting. Any resistor showing a little blob or browning is burned. Microresistors are those minuscule black, gray, brown or white rectangles lying all over the motherboard's traces. Check first the ones near the power supply connector and near the chips, specially one that says winbond on it, this last ones may get burned from USB overloading, from using non-self powered hubs also called passive hubs.

You may check for blown capacitors, capacitors are those standing cylinders with a plastic cover around them with numbers and letters printed in those covers. On top they are left without a cover and they are aluminum color, they may be flat or have one or more grooves runing across the top. A blown capacitor, looks different from the others because it looks a little bloated on the top, or may have spilled some sort of transparent varnish from its bottom to the motherboard or its top to other components around.

After that, you might want to check that your memory is OK in another computer and seated right in your motherboard, check the graphic card if it isn't of the integrated type. Finally you may suspect of the CPU, athlons get very warm and they can get burned too. Never start your pc without a cpu.
