Does the convection work? If so likely you need a magnetron If the control panel is having problems then it needs to be repaired or replaced. It could be just a stuck relay inside so a firm hit may release it

It could also be a thermal cutoff

JES1290SK No motor or inside light when turned on. Display works. Light works until turning on unit.

please see the steps and fix it. God bless you
  1. Inspect the power cord Unplug the power cord and check for voltage at the outlet. Also inspect for damage, shorts, or burn marks that can be a possible safety hazard.
  2. Bad door switch If your microwave does not work at all and you know everything is plugged in properly and the outlet is functioning, then also check the door hooks and the door release button. Using a volt-ohm meter on RX1, check your terminals. When your microwave door is closed you should have a reading of zero. Once the door is open the reading should change to infinity. If these readings do not match up, replacement of the door switch is necessary.
  3. Blown fuses To determine if your fuse has blown out, which may attribute to your microwave not running, you need to pull the fuse out using a pair of fuse pullers. Lay it down and using a volt-ohm meter on RX1, check both ends of the fuse in question. If you do not get a reading of zero, then you will need to replace the fuse.
  4. Bad fan motor Locate the fan and remove the leads. Again using the volt-ohm meter on RX1, check the terminals. If an infinity reading is displayed, it means that the fan has gone bad and requires replacement.

I don't know about a recall, but if your unit is under warranty parts and labour are included in most cases.

No lights - Acts Like It Has No Power At All

see the diagram and pictorial and proceed with common sense:
1) test the fuse for open or band contact with VOM,see the diagram attached how to do it
2)check the switch door hook or door release button, when they are broken they do not touch the switch, and will NOT start. test for open
see the diagram

Enter time & press Start the timer begins but no heat

Sounds like you have a bad door switch. make sure each button on the top of the switches snaps back up after it is puched down. Also, look at the wires where they push onto the switches. if any of the plastic insulators look brown you have a bad connection there and will need to replace the switch and the terminals going to it.

Neff Microwave H6871 no instruction book - unable to operate it

This is more of an idea than solution but have you tried disconnecting the power supply and then plugging it back in? If the red led display lights up you will know it works. Otherwise I would say it's time to replace the microwave. If you don't have access to the power supply try flipping the breaker.

I can't get my clock set. I push options, 3 and 1, then when I put in the time, nothing happens. I need to know if I can use a ceramic turntable out of my old Microwave Convection oven. My oven...

In case your owner's manual is missing, you can download it here.

If you're still having trouble after consulting the manual, please reply back.

The ceramic turntable (actually ceramic coated metal) will be fine as long as it doesn't have chips or cracks where arcs can occur.

Also, for even heating and longer turntable life, don't place your food in the center, but slightly off-center instead.

If you need to order a new turntable, enter your full model number JES1290SK here http://tinyurl.com/gv383

Buzzing noise, wont work???

The magnatron is shorting, overloading the high voltage transformer. From the picture this looks like an older unit and is probably not worth a magnatron replacement.
