Question about Garden

Electric motor on Qualcast Power Trak 4000 not working. It will not trun the blade. There is electricity going to the motor at the connection point and at the brushes on top of the motor. There is no sign of overheating to the motor nor is there any sound from it when the power is turned on. It remains completely dead even though though it is getting power. Is this motor done?

I'd first check the brushes for wear and dirt buildup. If worn badky, replace -- otherwise clean, replace, try motor. I doubt the motor is shot unless you've really been abusing it.

Hi I haven't got a photo as I've just put it away, I tried for over an hour to remove the blade and I just couldn't, its just a standard electric rotary qualcast lawnmower

Holly put some WD40 on the nut and then leave for 1hr. Try by tightening the nut first and it might loosen enough to get the bolt started in the opposite direction. If this dont work find someone with a blow lamp to put some heat to it. Should work

How do I fix the drive for blade on qualcast 4000 electriclawnmower

When you start mower does the motor run. If so you may have broken the safety pin in the blade adapter drive that the blade is bolted on. if so you have to take the blade off and the blade adapter. that the blade is bolted on and there should be a groove on the drive shaft that the adapter slides on. The safety pin goes in the blade adapter.

Machine no power seems very hot

Vacuum cleaners easily overheat and will shut off as a result. The cause may be a bad electric connection, electric cord or accumulation of hair on the roller bar (prevents the bar from spinning, which burns up the motor). It might be a temporary problem or the motor might have burned up. Let it cool down, check all cords and connections carefully and retry it. Bosch 4000 table saw motor does not turn, very stiff

Possibly something has jammed inside the motor housing although unlikely.
Electric brake seized perhaps?
Carbon brushes need replaced?

These saws (and the newer 4100) have a history of motor problems, with the field winding and electronic motor speed control being the most common points of failure. If you go to an online tool parts supplier like toolpartsdirect- Bosch 4000 saw you will see a list of the parts available, as well as the most commonly ordered parts.

Electric hedge cutter, blaDES STICKING,hit them and they go again, plenty of power in the motor but blades sticking getting worse all the time

Could I suggest maybe using some dry lube on the blade surfaces, such as graphite or anti-seize compound? It can only help. I also recommend maybe a close inspection of them to identify the bind point and why they are binding at that point.

Bosch 4000 tablesaw won't start. Brushes replaced

I found that the remaining problem was a intermittent at the switch, which disassembly and cleaning resolved.
Tilting the motor / blade assembly down allows access from below, to the 3 screws fastening the controller circuit board cover on the brush end of the motor. From there, one can easily test exposed wires for power supply, see that brushes are contacting and clean accumulated sawdust.

Have a cub zero turn 52 inch cut the blades wont engage it starts but when you pull the switch to turn on the blades it wont engage any help?

sounds like one of three possible problems ....one - there are safety switches that prevent engagement of the blades,,,,,two - the electric switch which engages the electric clutch blade pulley is bad....or three - the electric clutch blade pulley assembly is bad.....first.....make sure all ur connections are tight to the safety switches and electric clutchblade pulley.....then, if your able to read and follow a wiring diagram, get the wiring diagram for your tractor and a 12 volt probe light (with probe point end) with a ground lead....first, ground the clamp end to the frame and probe at the electric pulley clutch plug to see if power is getting there...if not...follow the wiring diagram to the next switch location the power lead comes from....if one side of the swtich shows power and the other side doesn't with the switch in the correct run position....then the switch or connection is bad.....if it probes okay...go to the next switch....follow this logic from both sides of the from the electric pulley blade clutch plug until you isolate the switch or plug problem....if everythin tested is good....then it's the electric clutch pulley assembly that need replacing.....hope this helps.....
