SOURCE: I bought Philips Gogear VIBE mp4 player , but

Your device can play video file if its format is suitable. If you install the Philips songbird software you can convert your files with it and the player will play them after files transferred.

The software is download-able via this link:

http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/dcbint/cpindex.pl?tmplt=ePlatform%20-%20Philips&scy=US&slg=AEN&sct=FLASH_AUDIO_PLAYER_SU&cat=MP3_MEDIA_PLAYERS_CA&session=20110221100645_93.189.114.198&grp=SOUND_AND_VISION_GR&ctn=SA2VBE04K/17&mid=Link_Software&hlt=Link_Software

This solution can be usable if your player's type is SA2VBE.... If you have SA1... type you should use Philips Device Manager you can download too from this website.
Windows Media Player 11 and Quick Time software should be installed on your PC.
Good luck and thanks.

Download and install "handbrake". It's an open source video transcoder and with plugins can convert almost any video format into any other video format.

Home theater is not reading MP4 Files . how to resolve this issues

For every format (MP4 is not one, but dozens of formats and no standard) you need a player, or on a computer a setting in a program. A DVD player, only can play one format, a DVD format. Actually it is even a coded format. When you have a MP4 file, you should encode it to to the DVD format and then but it to a DVD, before you try to play it in a DVD player. Try reading some articles about video formats on Wikipedia, when it is interesting enough for you to understand different Video (and Audio) formats.

Warning File Format Error

It seems that your trying to play a video that the media player does not support. The video works on your computer because the computer supports many more video file formats that the media player does. Make sure that the video your trying to play has a .mp4 file extension after the file name, meaning that it is a mp4 file. Try another known working mp4 video file.
good luck and i hope this has helped.
