Question about Measuring Tools & Sensors

Open Question

My Robinair 34778 recently takes longer time to pump air and finally gives me an error" airpurge not working" and the machine can't perform freeon recharge. I'd read these posts and Mr. Hasan Khan Amran had mentioned that "Please check ISV tank air purge (pressure) transducer & 12V DC discrete Solenoid ( both lacated on top of ISV ), it sounds like defective!" How the ISV tank air (pressure) transducer looks like and can I test it? Thanks alot for your help.

How to drain the isv in ac34700z

To clean contaminated ISV of Robinair 34700Z, open front lower panel, then slowly disconnect 3 hoses from ISV (Liquid, Air purge and Vapor). Now unscrew ISV tank from machine and then fixed an adapter to Liquid port of the tank to allow all the contaminated refrigerant to go out from tank. after emptying the tank, if possible make vacuum for approx. 10 minute with an external vacuum pump. Replace everything its original location after completing vacuum. Now change spin-on filter (Located on the back side of the machine) and vacuum pump oil. Your machine is now ready to work.
Thanks and I hope this will help you to solve your problems.

What does it mean if my compression sack has 'airpurge'?

Airpurge means the sack is made of a high quality waterproof fabric that allows air to escape freely from inside the sack when you are compressing it, without letting water or air in from the outside. This is helpful because the entire goal of using a compression sack is to get the air that is trapped inside your lofty sleeping bag out. that is how the compression sack is able to make the size smaller, and airpurge makes it all easier.

This is a common problem of Robinair 34700Z / 347002k & 347112k series machine.so don't worry just do the following :- 1# May the ISV tank is not overfilled, remove some refrigerant manually from tank. 2# Purge excess air from the tank manually.( Open air purge hose from the tank, then press tank valve as needed to purge air from the tank) 3#Check the air purge solenoid for proper operation.Hope this will solve your problem, Best of luck & vote for my solution!

Every time machine is put on vacuum, it starts purging air

This is a normal function during vacuum. But it can happen if the refrigerant is not 100% pure. However if it is so ling then you may need to rebuild airpurge solenois or replace Automatic airpurge device. Hope this will help you to rectify the problem,if this solution is helpful to you please vote for it. Good luck.

I have a Robinair 34700, during vacuuming and recycling I lose about 200 g refrigerant gas.

Don't worry this is normal.Because while machine is running for vacuum or recycle mode, automatic air purge device will active for some time & it will purge air from ISV.

Wash machine agitates but won't drain the water -- on any cycle choice. Machine makes noise like something is happening, but water remains.

Yes, the problem is the pump filter which is hidden behind the lower front panel. To access the filter, unscrew three screws at the bottom of the panel and carefully remove the lower front panel. Make sure to unplug the machine. With the panel removed you will see the pump filter. Get a bucket and some towels ready, because when you open the filter, you may get a gallon plus of water coming out. GE failed to put this in the use and care manual for the 6260. But low an behold, GE put an access door and explicit instructions on cleaning the pump filter in the updated 6400.

You may have burned out your washer pump. That is what happened to me. The machine would not drain or spin properly and so I kept pushing the blinking start/pause button to get it going again. Then it finally did not drain at all. I installed a new pump and with the cleaned filter, the machine worked like new. For some, simply cleaning the filter allows the pump to work properly. As the filter gets clogged the pump has to work harder and harder to pump out the water. When this happens the cycle times get extended . One symptom of a clogged filter is the final minute (spin cycle) takes much longer. Obviously this is a "design flaw" that GE "fixed" in the recent version of the 6260.
