Is your compressor a piston compressor? It may be that the valves in the head are shot?
Remove the Air Filter and quickly place your hand over the air intake hole, if you feel it **** AND blow, then theres your problem (It should only ****) these can be replaced.

Where can I find a metric lefthand bolt,8.8 stamped on sockethead screwcaphead.1 inches long, grade 8.it goes from piston rod to back of motor flywheel shaft.motor is 1 phase,3hrspower,120v,induction.

You may find a turnbuckle with that thread as they are all made in china now. That will get you the thread , then you will need to fashion something to take the place of the bolt head.

Or you can contact the manufacturer. Much of the new imported stuff has real cheap parts.

MT27- 3-4 years old ordered from the manufacture. I'm on my third recharge of the air compressor. Second Repair guy says I need a new compressor. Are there any recalls or can i have the Bev-air replace...

not sure why you would need a new compressor unless it actually has a freon leak on one of the seams during the building process. This is extremely rare. I've only seen one in over 25 years. Some manufacturers have 5 year warrenty on the compressor but do not cover the labor and freon and such to replace the compressor. Either one of the repair guys should have checked into this for you as part of their service. Try contacting Beverage Air and give them your model and serial numbers to see if you still have a warranty on your unit. It's worth a shot.
Now, in order for you to need freon added, it has to have a leak somewhere in the system. It is a sealed system and should never need freon added unless it either has a leak or someone put the improper amount in the system. I would try to find a repair man that has been recommended to you and has good ratings. Check better business outfits or the net.
Let me know if there is anything else I can do for you.

Compressor runs to 175psi but trips pressure relief when pressure drops tries to restart motor but motor wont turn blows breaker. changed whole pressure switch have same problem.

The problem is lilkely the check valve between the compressor and the tank -- it is alowing pressure to build from tank to compressor preventing the compressor from turning over. Clean, maybe replace, check valve...

Unfortunately, the cost to replace just the compressor unit is not much different than replaceing the entire unit.
