SOURCE: Cannot send comments to your guy to get specific info I requested

The manual that comes with the bike is a general one, I sell 5000+ bikes a year and can tell you that what you are asking for is not available. Giant, Trek, Cannondale, and the highter price bikes are only sold through bike shops, assembled professionally. You cannot buy them in a box, so your bike is already adjusted for you. You can go to any bike shop and they will verify what I am telling you. Now, what is the problem that you need the manual to answer?

Tighten front wheel

Hi there...

Please specify what is loose, or where the play is.

If on the axle, tighten your skewers or thru-axle.

If it is on the hub itself, you will need wheel spanners to check the wheelbearings and cones if they are ok and tightened to correct levels. Here is a pic of a normal quick release (QR) skewer:

Here is a thru-axle type (12mm or 15mm types):

If you have a normal axle, make sure the locknuts are tightened enough, not overly so though.

Hope this helps.

Boulder 3 Mountain Bike..location of serial number

Serial Numbers are usually in one of two locations.
  1. Turn the bike upside down and look at what is the very bottom of the frame where the pedals and cranks pass through. This is the bottom bracket shell. Serial numbers are commonly stamped here and will be a long series of numbers and letters
  2. Occasionally they are also stamped inside the rear dropout on the left or right. The rear dropout is the part of the frame where the rear wheel is connected.

I have a giant boulder mountain bike and i want to raise the bars. do they make a special componant for this . ray

A major limitation is the steerer tube length. No matter how many times you cut a steerer tube it won't get longer.

Getting Riser Bars or simply flipping the stem over or getting one with a different rise and reach might give you the added height you need. If you LIKE the handlebars, the stem is the best and least-invasive option as most new ones come with front loaders (detachable front caps) that allow replacement without stripping components off one side of the handlebar. In minutes a Bicycle Shop could swap any number of them onto your bike for you to try.

A reputable Bicycle Shop would have fit the bike to you before you took it home.
You can search the web for many answers, too.

How do you hire the handle bars on a giant mountain bike

Hello. You will need an adjustable wrench. Then look at the center of the handlebars and you will see a bolt and a nut. Usually the nut is on the underside. Loosen the nut, raise the handle bars and retighten the nut. J.
