I am able to record audio only. The LCD screen is black and flashes reminder "LENS CAP"
Lens cap is not covering the lens.
Same problem when attempting to record in memory (memory card) or video (tape)

Is the lens cap a fixed cap mechanisim with a switch or a standard removable cap?
