My blower motor has been squealing on the highest setting and now there is nothing on any setting. How do I repair this problem.
You'll need to replace the blower motor. The squealing was the last of the lubricatioin leaving the bearings. (Generic instructions) You'll be able to remove this fairly easily by removing just a few bolts/screws, and maybe a cover, and the plug in. Depending on where you buy the new blower motor, some come with the fan attached or you'll just have to switch the fan from the old motor to the new motor & just put it back in & plug it up.
When the old one is removed, you'll be able to see how the bearings have lost their ability to work properly by rotating the shaft. I would suggest bypassing the switches & such, but based upon the age & noise that should be a waste of time.
I looked, 45.00 on eBay Free S&H. w/fan attached no core charge.
