Question about Kenmore Washing Machines
Sounds like there's been an obstruction on the hose to the pump. Sometimes a sock or other small article of clothing can be swept over the top of the inner perforated drum into the outer drum. The outer drum has about a 5/8" hose to deliver the waste water to the pump. Socks, etc can get stuck in the drum, blocking the drain hole to the hose, OR they sometimes can be sucked down into the pump...Check both . If it is in the outer drum you can fish a straightened coat hanger with a small hook bent on the end and try to snag the article of clothing. or if it is in the pump, you'll need to block the hose so the water won't dump out of the drum and remove the lower end of the hose and then use the coat hanger hook to pull the clothing out of the pump...messy and leaky job, but possible to do.. Also check the pump belt, you may have burned it and when it heats up it will stretch and won't drain when it's stretched..
