I just figured it out myself because this dude is no help at all.. So stand behind the machine and on the back right side on it remove the screw on cover. there will be a wheel and a wire that goes from the electronic dash to this wheel. You will see a yellow thing on the wheel and behind the wheel attached to the machine. Push the yellow thing out from inside the machine to get it closer to the yellow magnet on the wheel. That\'s what i did and it fixed it right away. What a bad design. But it should work. Good luck people... You are going to need it.

RUN THE software calibration for easy diagnostic and fix it. However you must adjut the REED swtich, test for open, loose wires or connector see the diagram attached. If your system has batteries replace the old ones by new ones ALKALINES, clean the contacts batteries spring from dirty, bad contacts, oxide, corrosion. Tight the ribbon cables inside display, clean it, and tight the upper connector and lower connector (clean it too)

Santa with his son Banta were traveling on a boat after traveling one mile from the starting point the hat of Santa fell down. After 5 minutes Banta told his father about the hat. Santa turned the boat and...

At time 'ZERO', the hat was at distance 'ZERO' from the starting-point.
At time 'T', the hat was at distance 'ONE MILE' from the starting point.
The speed of the boat was the MAXIMUM speed of the boat, MINUS the speed of the current.
At time 'T+5', the hat was being carried by the stream-current toward distance 'ZERO'.
At time 'T+10', the hat was at distance 'ZERO', and the boat was at distance 'ZERO'.
The speed of the boat for the most-recent '10' minutes was the MAXIMUM speed, PLUS the speed of the current.

So, calculate the distance travelled at the 'T+5' time:
DISTANCE = VELOCITY1 multiplied by TIME1.
DISTANCE = VELOCITY2 multiplied by TIME2.

where 'VELOCITY1' is the speed travelling AGAINST the current,
and 'VELOCITY2' is the speed travelling WITH the current.

The meter that you set that tells you your speed, distance and calories burned stays at 0:0...the mode moves around when you push that but it stays registered at 0 for all modes. I put new batteries in it...

check ur tread mill's control consoles press button switches first. if all good the other chance is, ur control console have a programmed ic (integated circuit) in it. some programs are loaded in that ic, with which its displays speed distance traveled and all other settings. may be posibiliy for the ic get faulty. if so, the any way is consult the manufacturer, because you will not get the same in open market.

On my console, all the readouts for the speed,distance...turn on but they come up as all zeros. I put new batteries in but I still get no readouts. Help.

Has anyone had the treadmill apart? Most of the readouts are really very simple. Simply a sensor wire that runs down to the pulley with a sensor at the end. It counts the revolutions of the drive pulley and gives calculated readouts for speed, est calories, distance etc. all the same function really
Check the wire for breaks, check the sensor for positioning and dirt, check the magnet on the drive pulley that tells the sensor pulley position

My treadmill won't keep up with the time, calories, or distance.I also have lost the safety key,

Most like the casue is a loss of speed signal. There is a sensor with 2 wires that sits near the front roller where the walking belts wraps around. The fromt roller had a pulley where the drive belt goes around the motor and front roller. Look at the pulley on the front roller and there should be a small magnet glued in it. There should be the wire mentioned eariler near this roller.
Sometime moving the sensor at the end of the wire closer to the pulley where the magnet is will solve all ot the speed, distance, etc....problems. If that doesn't do it , it's time for the repairman.........

I need to know how to change from time to speed.

most likely there is a scroll or a function button on the console. By pressing that you can choose between the different functions of the display.  If yo dont have such button, look for something similar that will switch the data on the display.

My Garmin 305 wont record calories when I'm in the Gym. I select the "Other" sport mode, the little guy skiing, and It doesn't recored or even register calories? It records during my Jog sessions while...

The 305 uses distance to calculate calories. They sell a "foot pod" that you can use indoors, and that will count your calories by calculating the distance you have traveled. The problem however, is that using distance to calculate calories is so inaccurate! The calorie count that the 305 provides is almost always WAY too high. Other heart rate monitors use heart rate to calculate calories burned, and it is a much more accurate measure. My garmin thinks i burned 700 calories an hour today while i was snowboarding, and, while that would be nice, there is NO way it's true!!
