SOURCE: CONNECTING MY TV TO MY STEREO

Make sure the output in your tv menu is set to external speakers. Any digital optical cable, or RCA jacks hooked up properly from the TV's out put to the receivers input should work just fine. Take your time, retrace your steps, and make sure each cable is in the correct input/output. And make sure the receiver and TV are on the proper settings. Good Luck, and thanks for using FixYa!

SOURCE: Technics SA-DV290 Amp. Sound cuts out as volume is increased

hello it sound like the output ic may be in trouble you may have just dry joint on the ic which just resolder it . or there could be a capacitor leaking or they may have swelled up in which you will have to replace. it's best to do some visual checks first i'e look for any burnt parts any capacitor with bulging tops

regards
shaun

Yes, it is hooked up using the (cassette) tape inputs and outputs. Use the tape monitor switch on the receiver to switch the EQ in or out.

All sources or just one? Make sure the Tape Monitor isn't engaged unless you're using an external tape deck or processor. A turntable will only work on the PHONO input.

How do I connect to computer for music?

Please clarrify? Do you want to connect your computer to a amplifier and play music from your computer through the amplifier? If that is the case, you will need to get yourself a cable from your local sound shop. Ask for a "Stereo to RCA" cable. Plug the stereo jack into the back of your computer (where you would normally plug in your desktop speakers) and plug the RCA cables into one of your open channels on your amp. And there you go

Technics SH-AC300 Connection to Power Amp & Pre-Amp

Hi!
The problem is, that your SH-AC300 needs an amp with 5.1 input (but no decoder). For this purpose technics delivered SA-AX710.
So if you'd like to use your current equipment it would be impossible.
The only option is for you to buy 2 more Power Amps (SE-A900S), so that each of 3 amps would take care for one part of music. (one for FL, FR; one for RL, RR; and one for sub and center).
Another option is for you to buy SA-AX710. Then all the problems would be solved with it.
