If your battery is OK (not dropping below 12v during start up), you can try moving the GPS power connection directly to the battery. This would reduce voltage drops due to other cabling. It's always a good practise to power down electronics before cranking engine but most of us don't.

If you more then battery connect the fish finder to the second battery.
Or if the Depth finder is connected through the acc. on the boat. The power is being cut off be fore the starter is engaged. By pass this and connect through a correct size fuse.
