SOURCE: maytag washer top

It has what either looks like two hinges in the back with two screws in each hinge you need to remove or screws on the back of the top panel that come out so you can slide the top back and off.

SOURCE: I need to replace the water inlet valve on my

Hi

To access the fill valve take the two screws in the back that are connected. Now, pull the back of the cover towards you and lift it off. Check the three multicolored wires connected to the inlet housing that you have to remove. Next remove the two screws on the inlet housing. Now, pull the housing from the detergent cabinet then back towards it to remove the entire inlet unit. Check part# in this schematic---

My LG Fuzzy Logic WF-T1022TP let in more water than the level according to the weight of the bundle, sometimes even until the drum overflows. Is there something wrong with the computer?

Try shutting off power to the washer while the machine is filling with water. If the washer continues to fill with water even when it is not getting power, this indicates that the water inlet valve is defective. If the water inlet valve is defective, replace it.

LG WM1814CW washer - doesn't fill with water. Hear a hum when it should be filling with water, but no water and no error codes. I am guessing Valves (F160 and F170). Any thoughts?

Hi

If the washer won't fill you'll need to check for the water inlet hose, the water inlet valve and the pressure/water level switch assembly. Inspect the inlet hose coming to the washer for any blockages. If the hose is not clogged then check the water inlet valve for any clogs, if the water will not even fill for few seconds then certainly the water inlet valve is bad and should be replaced. You can also use a multimeter to check continuity on inlet valve. If you don't get any value on the multimeter then you'll need to replace the water inlet valve assembly. However, if the valve is fine then the pressure/water level switch assembly should be replaced. Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

What do ie stand for on a lg front loader

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France, Friday afternoon 14:28,

'ie' on LG's stands for Inlet Error , in other words water feed.
Check that the taps are on, check that the hoses are not kinked, check that the washer has not been pushed so far back and against the hoses that they are squashed.
If all OK then probably the water inlet control valve is malfunctioning and requires replacement ;-0(
Good luck,

The washer is not filling with water. Once the water is dispensed into the washer, water is not visible and the clothes do not get wet until half way through the washing cycle.

Hello

When the washer wont fill at all then the issue is either with a bad water inlet valve or clogged inlet screen. Please check the water line for any clogs/obstructions and try cleaning the inlet. Hope you understand that you might require water inlet valve replacement if the problem is still unsolved after cleaning. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Our LG WM2233HW Tromm when not in use slowly fills up with water. For example if we do not use it for 24 hours there may be as much as 2 inches of water sitting in there.

The water inlet valve has failed. They tend to get debris inside and not seat properly. You will need to replace the water inlet valve. They are usually not to expensive and easy to replace. Here is a link that should help Water inlet valve replacement You can also get diagrams and illustrations of your specific model at the same site.

Manual for LG wd-8016c . cold water is not going into machine

If you have cold water pressure to the machine and the valve filter is clear you probably have a failed cold water inlet valve. Replacing the inlet valve unit should fix the problem....Not unusual. Not a big job........Good luck....Nomess

I have an LG washing machine model WF-T755A After washing completed, if water not turned off at taps, the unit slowly fills up with water. The last time causing it to overflow and flood the floor

Water inlet valve is not sealing off 100%. Replace inlet valve (the part where the hose attached to the machine). didn't find that exact model listed so couldn't give you a part number. Usually LG's have a separate valve for the cold and the hot. If you turn off one valve where hoses connect to household plumbing you should be able to figure out if it is the hot or cold. (most often it is the cold) Leave both valves off when not using washer until fixed. (note: usually on LG washers, if you have unit connected to power and the door closed, if it fills with water as your machine did, the water level switch will trip and automatically pump the water out, even if washer is not in use and the power is "off".)
