What are you running in to your amp? If it's a CD player or radio, find the wires from them, disconnect them from the amp and connect them to the equalizer, then connect the equalizer to the amp.

I've had two soundstream rubicon 1.1600D amp's and they both worked for a while then the amp started to kick off and on. No fuses were blown, and the ground was fine. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Sounds like a loose power connection? Check All connections, also make sure the impedance is correct 4ohm 8omh 16 ohm the speakers need to match the amplifiers output to work properly. ...

Noise after amp installed

Check its wiring. There is many things to consider when wire it with; otherwise audio will be distorted at high level volume. It should be done according to wiring diagram. Wiring diagram to many sets are illustrated by the site give below. Check it.

Connecting s Soundstream PXW10 Subwoofer

Hi
Connect the subwoofer the following way if you have a separate subwoofer out in your amplifier (ie. 3 channel amplifier). Ones on the left are -1 and +1, the ones on the right are -2 and +2. I think you have to join +1 to -2 according to this diagram and then join -1 and +2 to the subwoofer out in the amp. I took this diagram from the following website but check with someone else as well.
3ch-amp.jpg

If you do not have a separate subwoofer out in your amp you may use a multichannel crossover amp and use the rear outs for the subwoofer connection the way it is described in the following website.

Hope that this helps.

Amp heating up

__Amplifier Heating__

Causes:

1-insufficient air circulation to the amplifier where installed
2-incorrect speaker connection (out of phase)
3-overvoltage of amplifier
4-insufficient power to the amp
5-ground cable not contacting properly
6-unbalanced OHM loads (different ohms speakers driven at the same time
Solutions:
1-change location of amplifier
2-connect all (+) and (-) of speakers to their corresponding connection on the amplifier
3-the input sensitivity (gain) of the amplifier is to high in relation with the headunits output voltage. match output of unit to input of amplifier
4-the cable is to thin to provide adequate current to the amplifier or the car battery is on its way out
5-secure ground cable and make sure there is always a clean secure ground to the chasis. ( checking power and ground cables should be done on a monthly basis due to the vibration factor in vehicles
6-use speakers with the same ohm load

Hope this helps. for further help let me know what equipment you r using and how they r connected.

I do not have the manual. I need wiring diagram how to connect to the power and speaker.

if you need a manual to hook up an amp, you probably shouldn't be doing it yourself.

You can get the schematic from SoundStream. If you get the schematic and need help, email it to me at:

If the amplifier does nothing, post the DC voltage on each of the pins of the SG3525 (or whatever IC they're using in the supply). Use this as a template:
