SOURCE: My kenmore elite He 5t wash machine is flashing F

This typically indicates slow drain condition. Check for any clogs or kinks in the drain line. Also check that the pump is not clogged and that no pump impeller blades are missing/broken and that the impeller moves freely. Any broken/missing blades or if the impeller won't turn freely will indicate a faulty pump. Hard objects can sometimes make it to the pump and cause damage. Hope this helped and best wishes.

"Fdl" is a Door Latch Failure error code. This is an indication that either the door latch mechanism has failed, the Central Control Unit (CCU) has failed, or you have a problem with the interconnecting wiring between the two.

I recommend you refer to the tech sheet to determine how to determine which component is causing the error code.

Each one of these washers come with a technicial data sheet inside the unit. To access, you will need to remove the lower toe panel under the door. The panel comes off by locating and removing the screws under the bottom front edge of the washer. You may have to prop the front feet of the washer up for better access to the panel screws (a 2x4 works well for this). With the screws removed, the panel will dro down, then come off. The tech sheet will be located either directly behind the panel, or affixed to one of the interior cabinet walls. Included in the tech sheet are all the error code definitions, troubleshooting data, wiring diagrams and diagnostics procedures.

If you determine the door latch is defective, the following link explains how to replace one:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3575840-replacing_a_door_latch

NOTE: A simple test that you can try to see if the latch has failed, or if the problem is with the Central Control Unit (CCU) is to lightly tap on the control board with a screwdriver at the point where the door latch connectors. There's a relay on the board that controls the locking and unlocking of the door latch. Sometimes the relay sticks, causing the error code to appear. Sometimes this can free up a stuck relay.

To access the CCU, follow these steps:

1. UNPLUG the washer.

2. Remove the top panel of the washer by locating and removing the three screws that hold the panel in place in the rear of the washer. With the screws removed, the panel will slide back, then lift off.

3. The CCU is located top center behind the wash tub. Locate the connector plug(s) that run to the door latch. Unplug each connector one at a time and reseat them. Sometimes this can restore a connection where continuity is lost due to corrosion or oxidation.

4. Attempt to start a wash cycle and see if it works. If not, as the washer tries to lock the door latch, tap the board where the door latch connection(s) are.

NOTE: The washer usually makes 4 attempts to lock the door, before it errors out.

If none of these preliminary measures work, you may need to replace the CCU. If you can get the CCU to work, but still have to tap on it each time, you should replace it as well. This may get you by in the interim while awaiting parts (if you can get it to work this way).

Replacement parts can be purchased at any of the following web sites:

searspartsdirect.com
pcappliancerepair.com
appliancepartspros.com
repairclinic.com

I have found these sites to be reputable and provide great service. Prices differ between them, so shop and compare. The first three sites on the list also include exploded view diagrams to assist you in locating and properly identifying the part(s) you need. The Sears website will sometimes offer a refurbished CCU for much less.

If you have any questions, please post back and let me know. I hope this helps you.

SOURCE: HE5t washing machine flashes F35

F35 is a water level error.
The water level switch (pressure switch) has malfunctioned.

If you remove the top panel, three screws in the back, you will have access to the pressure switch.

With the tub empty, remove the vinyl hose from the switch and blow backwards through the hose to clear any restrictions.

If the fault codes return after doing this, you will likely need to replace the pressure switch.

Also - please be sure to use He soap.

SOURCE: door light flashes......

It appears your timer/main controller/CCU has failed in this instance.

For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing.
I recommend both sites because ...

FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.

PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information.
RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.

If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell.
In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.

Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.

If you think you want to tackle the repair - and have gotten stuck on a step - reply to your question and I will be glad to help you out.

Kenmore dishwasher, model 665.170 344 01. "Clean" light keeps flashing and will not stop. Have tried everything in the manual and the light still will not stop flashing.

If the clean light flashes 7 times, pauses then repeats...

If the dishwasher doesn't sense a water temperature increase, it will stop working and lock the functions (clean light flashes 7 times, all buttons are non responsive).

To resolve this you will have to reset the console. Do this by closing the door and press these buttons in sequence...

-high temp wash
-heated dry
-high temp wash
-heated dry

...all the lights will turn on briefly and the machine will start a diagnostic cycle. You can press cancel or let the diagnostic cyle finish (1-2 minutes).
You should now be able to run the dishwasher as normal.

If the issue returns, you could have a problem with the heating circuit (ie. element, thermostat or wiring). It rarely happens but it could also be the door switch not engaging properly when the door is closed (slightly bend the door latch down making sure it doesn't hit the door when you close it).
