Captured Audio / Video Synchronization

The audio becomes out of synchronization with the video during a capture. The original VCR tape program is spot on, audio to video. The longer I capture from video tape, in one session, the more the audio lags behind the video. Hope you can help Dave

In your DVD software see if there's a place where you can choose the method of synchronizing the audio to video. If there is then choose drop video frames.

Why when i captured from camera the captured file

If you are talking about a hand held video camera it is your hand shaking, it becomes more apparent if yo zoom in on something very far away. If you camera is equipped with a video stabilizer function, make sure it is enabled. If you are talking about a web cam, make sure it is secure and there is no extreme vibration going on in the room. Even loud audio especially with a cranked up sub woofer could prvid eenough vibration to affect your video

The plugs you speak of are called RCA plugs, (Male side has an outside ring with "slots" around the edge, and a pin in the center. Female side has a short round "riser" with a hole in it). You need just standard Audio/Video hookup cables, available at any electronics store.. Walmart/Target/Kmart has them in the TV section. They get plugged into the Audio (Red & White) OUT of the VCR, into the Audio IN (Red & White) of the Easy Capture. The Yellow lead is for Video In/Out between the VCR and Easy Capture. The black is probably the S-Video connector, (round, has very small square hole, surronded by 4, 5, or 7 tiny pin holes) that can be also used to connect video/audio between VCR(if so equipped) and Easy Capture. Get a set of audio/video dubbing cables (abt $10 usually), connect Red to Red, White to White, Yellow to Yellow. Plug the Easy Capture USB cable into your computer (most likely), start the capture program. Start your vcr, hit Play. You should see your vcr tape playing on the computer screen.

Audio/video synchronization problem

I have tried several versions of Pinnacle products over the years, and have had serious problems with ALL of them. Constant crashes, re-boots, glitches, dropped frames, etc. Sound lagging behind the picture is one of many problems, and can be avoided only be capturing short clips and editing them together. A real pain. i finally gave up on Pinnacle and bought Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum. It has a longer learing curve than Pinnacle, but in the long run it has more features and is very stable. Sony Vegas also works with Vista. Pinnacle 10 does NOT, depsite what Pinnacle and the salespeople tell you.
