Question about HIS H487F512P RADEON HD 4870 HDMI Dual DL-DVI HDCP 256bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 X16 Video Card..., PCI Express
My system sees this graphic card as ATI 4800 Series? why it is so?
I downloaded the latest drivers from ATI. My system WinXP SP3
Thank you in advance
It will say that because is between the integer of 4800-4895. It doesn't mean the system thinks it's a 4800 it just means it's in that series. Shouldn't be causing you any problems however as the hardware will do all the work regardless of what Windows thinks it is. The catalyst utility should be more accurate by the way,
