Cannot open my profile when i started to log in to my computer

I cannot log in to my user account everytime i try to open my laptop

Good morning! possibly a password was created on your user account, try to just press Enter if will be run through to log you in, otherwise kindly try to reset the password key in the BIOS set-up features under Security features. best regards

Why cant I log into home page?


Normally what I do is this:
Turn on the computer, press F8 a few times
Click safe mode with command prompt.
Type in this into the black box: net user administrator /active:yes
Restart your computer
You will now see an administrator account
Click on it, windows will start normally.
Move over your documents from your old account
Once you have everything, delete your old user account
Voila.

USER PROFILE WILL NOT LOAD


This is way too vague a problem description to be able to even make a suggestion.

What kind of Laptop?
What operating system?
Any problems getting to the login screen?
Are you able to log in, but not load the profile; or not log in at all?
Is this after starting a machine that was off, after logging off and back on, or when trying to switch users?
Are you logging on with a local account or a domain/network account?
How many profiles are on the PC?
How much space is available on the HDD?
Does it load a temporary profile, or just error-out?

Cant login


Restart your computer in safe mode. To do this first power it down wait 10 seconds. Locate the F8 key; press power button an start tapping F8 key. This will bring you to a screen with many options. Choose safe mode. This is a limited mode but many things can be fixed including your profile. Option 1. Go to control panel user accounts. Here you can add an account. Option 2 Delete your account (make sure there is another account you can log into prior to doing this) Go to start->computer right click then click properties. In system properties click advanced tab. Under user profiles click settings. In the User Profiles dialog box, select the profile that you want to delete, click Delete, and then click OK. Click Start, type regedit in the Search box, and then press ENTER. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
    1. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList
      Right-click the SID that you want to remove, and then click Delete.
  1. Log on to the computer and create a new profile.

How to get computer off a tempory profile

Every time that you log on to a Windows Vista-based computer that is connected to a domain, a temporary user profile is created.


When you log off the computer, the user profile is deleted.

This behavior usually occurs because the account that you use to log on to the computer is a member of one or more of the following groups:
•Guests
•Domain Guests

If this is a school/work computer then this is most likely the way the NetAdmin has set it up.

If this is your home computer then a temporary user profile is issued each time an error condition prevents the user's profile from loading.


You may encounter profile issues if you log on with a user in the Guests group.

You need to remove the user in question from the local Guests or "Domain guests" group and that should do it.

1. Click Start

2. Right click Computer and Select Manage

3. Select Local Users and Groups > Groups

4. Double click Guests

5. Check if the user that is having the issue is a member of the Guests group

6. If so, remove the user from the Guests group

7. Log off the workstation and log back on

8. Verify the profile is now local

f. Exit Registry Editor.

g. Log off the system.

h. Log on to the system again.

After you log on to the system, the profile folder is re-created

1) Go to Start menu, expand "All Programs" - "Accessories" - "System Tools", right-click "Command Prompt" in the pop-up menu, select "Run as administrator", then input "SFC / SCANNOW" without quotation marks and press Enter.


2) When the "SFC / SCANNOW" command is running, this command will scan every corner of your system, and repair the missing or corrupted files.


2. Shift to another administrator user, if you don't have one, please create a new administrator account and log in.


3. Navigate to C:\Documents and Settings folder, backup the data of your original corrupted profile, then delete the corrupted profile and all the temp profiles.


4. Open Registry Editor (type "Regedit" without quotation mark in the start menu blank and open it), search for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList, under the profileList subkey, delete the key named SID.bak.


5. Restart your computer; you will be able to log in the normal profile again.

Everytime I turn on and go to Google it says my profile can not be opened correctly. check y profile to see if I have permission to read and write its contents. Why is this happening?


you might not be the computers administrator

Here are two views on how to create computer administrators and administration rights

When you log in screen will appear that time just press CTRL+ALT+DEL three times login page will change put there administrator and press enter if any password you put during installation of xp put that password do log in and then go to user accounts which is in control panel from there change the user rights

right click to my computer and go to manage and then users from there also you can set rights


Here we go just press this keys ctrl+Alt+Del it will bring you a new logging dialogue box. type the user name as administrator and leave the password blank.


press enter and there you go. that means you will log into your computer as local administrator. from there go to your control panel, click on user accounts, change my account type,

from the next stage choose administrator, click change account type

I have a dell inspiron with windows 7, and everytime I try to log on it tells me windows has failed to open. It gives me the system restore option but when I use it it just sends me to the screen where I...


press ctrl + alt + del and see if a menu screen appears if it does select task manager then click file and click new task and type explorer and press enter. See if that allows you to start windows. If it doesnt restart the computer and keep pressing f8 till you get a menu up askingif you want to start normally etc choose safe mode, select it with the up and down arrow keys and press enter. when windows loads up choose administrator and log in you will then have to setup a new user account. click start > control panel > user accounts. Create a new user account (dont use the same name as you used before if your user account name was kyle call the new one kyle1. then restart the laptop again and try to log into the new user account. Report back if you can and i will explain how to recover your old account

When I put in my password it tells me "The User Profile Service service failed the log on User profile cannot be loaded


switch the laptop on and then after the post messages appear and before windows starts press f8 repeatedly until the startup menu appears choose safe mode then log in as administrator. click start control panel > users > click manage user accounts then click create new user and create the account with administartor rights. Restart the laptop and log in to the new account you created then open computer up and right click on local disk c and click properties then click on tools click the button next to error checking saying check now. It will say windows cannot check a disk while it is in use and would you like to schedule a check on nxt restart or it will have a button saying schedule disk check, if its the latter click it. restart the pc and let it check the disk

after it has started windows try to log back in to your old account


if you cant log in to your old account you may be infected with a virus, scan your laptop.

When I type in my password it says user profile service failed the login user profile cannot be loaded


Log on computer in safe Mode by pressing F8 Key when computer start and logon to administrator account after then create a new account and make him administrator and now restart your computer then logon by new account
After then copy your old account data from user folder/old username/desktop and my documents etc. to your new account.

I think from what you have said is simply the problem of User Accounts. Simply Open the User Accounts option from the Control Panel and go to Make changes to your User account and simply change the name of the User account. Put your name there instead of your friend's. Actually this wasn't a problem but a feature provided by the Windows so that many users can actually work on their own account on a particular system thus protecting the data from each other. There you go. The account will now have your name. The folder with your name will be shown in the start dialog or the desktop.
